Lost Sounds - Black-Wave dbl lp [FDH]

"In 2001 Lost sounds released their sophomore double album, following up "Memphis is dead" with a maturing sound that encapsulates the bands efforts to create a record that touched on many genres including Black Metal & New Wave (hence the album title). Jay Reatard (The Reatards, Angry Angles), Alicja Trout (River City Tanlines, Black Sunday), Rich Crook (The Reatards, Lover!, Thing), and Jonas Garland created what is commonly known as one of the most important synthpunk records in the 2000's. After disbanding in 2005 and the untimely death of Jay in 2010, the remaining members of the band have regrouped with an additional member Jon Grissom (The Black & Whites) to create Sweet Knives a band that play a combo of new material as well as some Lost Sounds tracks.

After many years of Black Wave being out of print, and the always fantastic Empty Records called it quits, we began discussions to reissue this release. To ensure the record was done justice we had Dave Eck at Lucky Lacquers remaster the recording, bringing out many buried tones and overall fixing some level issues. We also have reworked the art to bring this to you in a gatefold cover, to gather additional art not included in the original pressing of the vinyl. This first edition of the 2xLP rerelease will be limited to 500 copies on 180 Gram black vinyl. " - FDH Records
