NOTS - We Are Nots lp [Goner]

Debut long-player from NOTS!

Natalie Hoffman was the bass slinger for the fantastic Ex-Cult, and now heads a troupe of women intent on blowing your mind & making your body move in ways you never knew you wanted to move. The addition of Alexandra Eastburn on squiggly synth puts the band into weirder territory than explored on their excellent two singles, and drummer Charlotte Watson (Manateees) and bassist Madison Farmer (Coasting) provide a solid framework for this guillotine to operate. Touring has only made them more deadly! Pitchfork started their introduction to the track "Decadence" with "Natalie Hoffmann is a tough-talker, an avenger, a dreamer, a thief—all wound-up with rusted post-punk wire..." and they're right on target. (Read the whole review & hear the track here)

“Nix the assertion Nots are a side project, a spin off, a revival of some fashionable subset of your record collection. Evolving headstrong, their white noise is without compromise or concession. Brass venom yelled atop a torrent of twisted guitar shards, so human, barbed and unruly. Obliterate the retroactive retreat; Nots are now.” -John Hoppe
