Atlantic Thrills are tearing down the East Coast as we speak (see dates below). They hail from Providence, RI and play some rough N rowdy garage punk.

Almost Ready is proud to be releasing their debut single next month. 2 killer cuts at 1 low price. The single comes housed in a full color pocket sleeve with art by Avi Spivak (human being lawnmower).

Critics are already raving...

"Providence, RI?s Atlantic Thrills first single, ?Day At The Beach? ? is a surge of sunshine whose jangly guitar & raspy vocals are as fulfilling as a clam cake. It?s best played loudly while driving down RT 1 South on your way to Narragansett." - theunexcused.com

"Let this song be a part of your weekend soundtrack. It?s been hot as FUCK (there is no other way to say it) up here in the northeast, and a day at the beach is something we could all use right about now. Providence?s ATLANTIC THRILLS bring that to us, in sonic form, with this A-side to their debut single out on Brooklyn?s ALMOST READY RECORDS. This is garage rock done right, kids, and this time it?s coming from our own backyard. ?A Day at the Beach? sounds like jumping on your skateboard with a bag full of bourbon and mushrooms and going to meet all of your favorite scumbag friends down by the shore. A little surfy at times but this ain?t no BEACH BOYS song, it leans more towards the type of demented sound that LOS SAICOS were dreaming up in Peru in the 1960′s. I can?t wait to hear more from this band, I think they?re onto something." -Boston Hassle

Hailing from Providence, RI, beach-ready rockers ATLANTIC THRILLS have just released their first 7″ on Almost Ready Records in Brooklyn, NY. A Day at the Beach is only the beginning, so hopefully we get to hear more from the band in the future.

"A Day at the Beach" opens with a doo-wop flavored brand of garage pop for an innocent and inviting introduction. It's something in the vein of the Eeries with the harmonizing background vocals, but it's just a bit off-center from the wobbly guitars probably a result of drinking and spending just a little too much time in the sun. A raspy Dan Tanner spearheads the vocal assault which is fully filled out by the rest of the band. He's followed by plenty of strung-out guitar twangs that are effortlessly weaved in the midst. On the flipside "Hold Your Tongue" is a fun-filled stomp, complete with echoed chanting and a steady, tambourine-crusted rhythm. You can feel the stress building carefully through the crunchy guitar chords, almost like the track itself is a ticking time-bomb. Listen to the A-side "A Day at the Beach" right below, then head over to Almost Ready Records and snag that wax!

I think I'ma hafta buy this! This sounds too fun to come from the East Coast... sounds like a Midwest basement band (I'm a born-n-raised East Coaster that willingly relocated to the Midwest). Probably even more fun live.

They kill it live! They will hopefully be making their way out west before the years up. LP in the works now...
