I meant the kind that already has the taters in it in the can. That just about qualifies as dog food. I love the stuff that you have to open with a key. You can't find it lately because of an embargo on South American beef in the US. Trivia: In World War I , soldiers called it "monkey meat" because of it's origin in South America.

When I was very ,very young I liked tripe ..............till it was explained to me what it actually consisted of. Until I liked those ghetto smoked sausage links that drip red dye and burnt around the edges but they turned on me.
Posted: Mar 7, 2011 8:04 am

I like getting char-broiled double cheeseburgers out of vending machines. It's just so institutional I can't help but eat 'em. It's sort of like not being able to not rubberneck at the scene of a violent car accident.

school cafeteria soy/hamburgers

Posted: Mar 15, 2011 2:03 pm

Yeah those are pretty good. The one at my work hasn't had that one for a while. I wonder who determines what items will go into the machine. Sometimes we'll get the microwavable White Castle cheeseburgers.

Pogos (do you guys call them Pogos? They're really just corn dogs)
I second the frozen taquitos
Chicken fingers and fish sticks
Tater tots
Filet-o-Fish (now on sale for Lent!) and McNuggets

And the worst/best:
Hawkins Cheezies. From their website:

"Hawkins Cheezies® is synonymous with wholesome goodness. Natural ingredients and real aged cheddar cheese were the impetus in the development of this purely Canadian icon."

In one single-serving bag, there are 390 calories, 24g fat, 6g saturated fat, and 25% each of your RDI of cholesterol and sodium. Mmmmm... wholesome goodness.

Today I bought a Philly cheeseburger out of my beloved vending machine. It had the peppers and cheese of a phillysteak except the rest was a hamburger. It was definitely worth the $1.85 I paid for it.

It's like 4 bucks for a 3 pound box of what is basically smoked lard.
