Always had a lot of curiousity about this, but never tried it:

Ritz Mock Apple Pie

The classic pie, featuring Ritz crackers baked in a golden crust,
is perfect for the holidays.

Pastry for two-crust 9-inch pie
36 RITZ Crackers, coarsely broken (about 1 3/4 cups crumbs)
1 3/4 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Grated peel of one lemon
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Roll out half the pastry and line a 9-inch pie plate. Place
cracker crumbs in prepared crust; set aside.

2. Heat water, sugar and cream of tartar to a boil in saucepan
over high heat; simmer for 15 minutes. Add lemon juice and peel;

3. Pour syrup over cracker crumbs. Dot with margarine or butter;
sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll out remaining pastry; place over pie.
Trim, seal and flute edges. Slit top crust to allow steam to escape.

4. Bake at 425 F for 30 to 35 minutes or until crust is crisp
and golden. Cool completely.

Alisa - I've seen that but never tried it. My mock apple pie recipe is so much easier that I'm too lazy to try another.

My mock apple pie is:

buttered toast
thinly sliced apples
kraft singles
sprinkled with cinn/sugar mixture
broil until cheese melts and gets brown spots

I'd be interested in trying the Ritz one...there aren't any apples in it! How you can get Ritz to taste like apples is kind of beyond me...

"RITZ is all about fun! We are collaborating because music and food are always at the center of people getting together for good times, and "17" (Marching Band Remix) is a song that helps us remember how much fun it was being young and hanging out with friends..."

It may not top "Crumbelieveable", but Kraft is a mad playa in the music biz.

as a young man, I could go thru a box of Ritz, jar of p-nut butter and half gallon of Wyler's Lemonade at least one night a week.

My friend ate 21 Ritz crakers in under a minute once,
sounds easy until you try it. I couldn't even eat more than 5.
I think he just smoked a blunt though. Probably had the munchies.

And now, the Ritz spokesman is going to be the President of Haiti.

Not if Spicoli has anything to say about it.
How insane is this planet?

Ritz spokesman

Who knew???
I thought he was too busy "running" his "foundation" to get some cheap cracker gig like that...

I find Ritz to be incredibly addicting and now I feel the need to go buy some. Once I start eating one I will eat the whole sleeve in one seating or even if I don't I will keep on going back to get more.
