it was only ok. got the chicken fried steak. grits were good. chicken fried steak was definitely from a package. big minus. the eggs were pretty good and the gravy was ok.
gotta say tho, i like the little diner across the street from me much more. too much hype on bryants.
you can rail all you want. i won't change my mind.

Bryant's isn't what it once was, but I can't help myself from going there when I'm home for a visit.

Its a sausage/ham biscuit type joint. Not sure I would ever order chicken fried steak from there!

I've never understood why anyone would want to eat there, but they do.

Burger King was only a mile away.

Yup, right behind LC's. LC's is KING.

I have sauces from Bryants, LC's and Gates in my fridge in Memphis right now.

you livin' right.

when I drove thru KC, I picked up a case of Bryant's original. not a fan of their "bold & spicy" alternative. that case is now exhausted because I foolishly gave away a couple bottles by taking them to BBQs and forgetting to bring them back.
Bryant's will ship you bottles but it's expensive.

LC's has those tasty burnt ends, right?

EVERYTHING at LCs is tasty.

I actually like the the "Bold and Spicy" variety. Not so keen on the sweet one, though.

When I'm at AB, I go back and forth (bite to bite) between the two.

I think that Gates has the best sauce, but their meat isn't as good.
