i've never used either, but it sounds like either would work well. maybe some chopped walnuts?

I like to add dried cranberries and pecans.

one of the first things I ever made, from a real recipe, was a fancy chicken salad that had red grapes in it. it was good, but today, I prefer a curry chicken salad. I got recipe from Oprah: http://www.oprah.com/recipe/omagazine/recipes/food_200411_sandwich

some granny smith apples with pecans works well also

i like grapes and walnuts and apples. all that is good with curry too. :)

my favorite is lemon tarragon chicken salad. boil chicken breasts in broth with some tarragon and then chop up the chicken once it's cooled down and add mayo, lemon juice, more tarragon, salt, and pepper. verrrry delicious.

No grapes, no walnuts, and don't let me catch you putting apples in my chicken salad.

I like it with chicken, curry powder, celery, mayo, cliantro.

Agreed, Lady Problems. THAT is proper chicken salad.

That's kind of how La Baguette makes it, and that's my fave chicken salad.

I've never made it, but if I do I'll have to skip the curry powder. Husband hates curry with a passion. And cumin. I haven't gone to an Indian place since we hooked up. Sadness.

agreed...best chicken salad for purchase in town, hands down.
they skip the curry & cilantro, though, & add green onions to theirs.
