Wow. I don't even eat meat and that sounds good. Did you use bacon instead of pecans?

i chopped some pecans real tiny and mixed them with brown sugar and chili powder, while cooking some maple bacon in the oven. then i sprinkled the mixture on top and cooked some more. i wish i had added more chili powder or maybe red pepper. definitely less involved/delicate than regular pralines. i want to try with ice cream. nom nom nom. i also found a recipe for bacon! bourbon! brownies! that i will try after christmas while i'm off.

whoa. that sounds really good. mmmm. cayenne maybe would make it interesting?

Bourbon bacon brownies are in the oven. The batter was good, though I think perhaps I didn't make the bacon crispy enough?

I remembered this thread from last year and thought I'd see if anyone had a good recipe or had tried buttermilk bacon pralines. I was thinking of topping my mashed sweet potatoes with some.
