think i'm gonna make a bastard poutine tonight
never tried this before, but here's my plan

1/2 lb ground beef
3 potatoes
fresh cheese curds
beef gravy

peel and slice 3 potatoes, rub with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper

bake at 450 for a half hour

sautee ground beef, mushrooms and onions in a skillet over medium heat, add beef gravy

plate the fries first, add a handful of fresh cheese curds, then top with the beef/vegetable/gravy mix.

feeds 2

sound good???

Give it a different name. It's not poutine.

i did give it a different name.
bastard poutine.
in what way is it not poutine?
its french fries topped with fresh cheese curds topped with gravy
i just added some vegetables and meat to the gravy
thats why its called a bastard, because its poutine's illegitimate offspring...

i made this one time since without the vegetables and heavier on the gravy and it was great! being a fan of gravy fries anyways the addition of fresh cheese curds is kinda a no brainer.
