Oki Dogs are just about my favorite thing on earth. I make them every year at my birthday party using a variant of the recipe in this article
. They're easy to make. Making the shoyu pork is time-consuming, but once that's done, it ain't nothing.
The homemade kind are waaaay better than the dogs at the Oki Dog place in LA. To make them better, I use a either a Sinai 48 kosher dog, a Hebrew Nat'l, or a hot link. I also grill the whole thing on the skillet after it's all wrapped up and I use cabbage instead of lettuce. Put a little hot sauce on these things and thank me later.
