Posted: Nov 6, 2006 5:28 pm

I spent the bulk of yesterday puking my fucking guts out and my stomach is still a bit queasy.

So, what can I eat that won't give me heartburn and won't make me feel like dying.

the Mcrib thread.

Cheese grits. Put sharp cheddar and a little parm in them. Remember to use milk/water combo when making them. Those are the best on a quesy stomach on a chilly day.

you people are killing me...

cheese grits? Sonds awesome, but I'm in California for godsakes!!!!
Posted: Nov 6, 2006 5:56 pm

OK, let's see...

Find a Jewish deli and order matzoh ball soup.

Mac n cheese--from a reputable restaurant that bakes it.

am I to believe that a box of quick grits is completely unavailable at supermarket shelves in california? this is simply unfathomable.
Posted: Nov 6, 2006 6:34 pm

I'm sure that grits are available, but I'm at work.
I think I have figured it out
Breakfast burrito ought to set me straight.

thanks

Breakfast burrito

That shoulda been a no-brainer.

I'm not a no-brainer.

I am sure they have it, but seriously WR, there is ONE BRAND to be had of quick grits anywhere in this town. Something like "Albers". I have to order real grits from South Carolina after this one gourmet grocery sold out of them and never got them again. Bob's Red Mill sells "grits" but nuh-huh, it is polenta under the guise of grits.

i like greasy diner food. hashbrowns seem to be the thing for me. that and maybe an egg and cheese sandwich. breakfast burritos seem like a good idea, but usually unless you make them yourself, they turn out nastay.

i like a good greasy spoon breakfast. nothing cures a hangover like that.

stop fucking around already and eat a carne asada burrito.
lucky living in california motherfucker.
Posted: Nov 8, 2006 5:19 am

Does a bloody mary count as eating? That would do it.
Posted: Nov 8, 2006 3:34 pm

nothing cures a hangover like that.

...or to start drinking again.
Posted: Nov 8, 2006 7:42 pm

Anything with grease = feeling better.
Posted: Mar 18, 2007 4:19 am

A tblspn of baking soda w/ 8 oz. of tepid water. Drink fast....
Posted: Mar 18, 2007 5:00 pm

Grease is correct.

Diner breaky or a cheesburger w/hasbrowns.

If you're in Cali gets some in-out burgers.

DOUBLE BACON CHESEBURGER!!!
Posted: Mar 20, 2007 2:16 pm

Two sausages, two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon, puddle of Heinz baked beans, chips, two slices of toast, mug of strong tea, big joint, bucket of espresso! Cover the breakfast in hot sauce (eggs & beans), ketchup (chips & bacon & eggs), Engerlish mustard (sausages & bacon), black pepper and salt - the kill or cure thang, UK stylee!

However, a decent American brekkie does kick the classic 'fry up' to the curb...

Pot Roast brought me back from the living -dead-christmas party-1991-Stoli-hangover. I had almost turned myself inside out from vomiting that day but that heavy meal of roast and potatoes did the trick.

bucket of espresso! Cover the breakfast in hot sauce

that always does the trick!

thank you sarah! I was just reading this going "I can't believe NO ONE has said pizza".

Pizza and fountain diet coke are the only things taht work for me.

Pizza with pepperoncinis, ranch and TONS of hot pepper flakes. Although you're kinda fucked if it comes back up....whatever you do, do NOT drink a whole pot of coffee on yr empty stomach. Owee....you'd think nothing could wreck coffee for you, but allow me to testify....

I like to drink a little something that I call "the bull." it's tequila mixed with cottage cheese.

CK's - any location in the greater Memphis area.

Or La Peniche in New Orleans. Weekend breakfast specials + damn fine coffee = gone hangover.

ahh, we're fond of the Midtown Bull: tequila, barbecue sauce, cottage cheese, milk chocolate (hershey bars or hershey's kisses ground up preferred), a dash of scotch whiskey and swept up dog hair. if you have left over real ephedrine, throw that in there, too- crushed.

blend.

cat hair will do in a pinch.

THAt's fucked UP!!!
Posted: Apr 4, 2007 3:05 pm

caca.
Posted: Apr 4, 2007 10:17 pm

the Midtown Bull

I can see how that could work, you just drink it as fast as you can so as to purge everything that might be left in the stomach from the night before!

Brilliant!
