what about beer? cuz "what made milwaukee famous has made a loser out of me" is a great song title... and everyone and their dog has covered it...

tom waits = "the piano's been drinking, not me"

"red red wine" - take your pick - neil diamond or UB40, depending on your clientele

queen's "killer queen" opens with a reference to moet et chandon ("she keeps her moet chandon in a pretty cabinet...")

surely, there's more...

A bottle of Chablis, hey now, that ain't no stuff for me
Chateau Timberley, as long as I can't see
Gallo or Muscatel, either one would be just swell
I didn't come here to fight, hey just as long as that ain't white

--Red Red Wine, The Replacements

Can't find the lyrics to "Johnny Walker Redneck" by the Ex-Husbands, but I recommend the song & the band.

If the ocean was made out of whiskey, I'd swim to the bottom and die.

-Country Teasers

If the river were whiskey,
And I were a duck,
I'd swim to the bottom
And drink my way up.
But the river's not whiskey,
And I'm not a duck,
So I'll just sit on the bank
and watch people fuck.

Oh I wish I had a barrel of rum, and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in, and a clapper to stir it round,
I'd drink to all good fellows that come from far and near
I'm a ramblin' gamblin' hell of an engineer.

What?!?! No mention of many a Tom T. Hall song? Also "Two Six Packs Away" by Dave Dudley.

Every other Nu country song metions Corona or top end tequila like Patron or Cuervo (and where's the yachtrockers in us forgetting Steely Dan's "Hey Nineteen"). Nu country drops more brands names per song more than even people like R. Kelly.
