I just tried some a couple weeks ago and I was into it. It's good when you've been indulging in the pig just a bit too much and need a break.

"I hate turkeys. If you stand in the meat section at the grocery store long enough, you start to get pissed off at turkeys. There's turkey ham, turkey pastrami, turkey bologna. Someone needs to tell the turkey "Man, just be yourself. I already like you, little brother. You do not need to emulate the other animals. You got your own thing goin'. I used to draw you." (Stares at hand.) Man, if you were missing a couple of fingers, you drew one fucked-up turkey. You'd be like, "That turkey's been in an accident."

When you've had your fill of Turkey Bacon, and you're running back to the pig, WATCH OUT. You're going to undoubtedly run right past the rest of us and get yourself into something a bit more death-defying, as in ...

I have no use for turkey bacon as I can't collect the grease/drippings from cooking and then later use them to make delicious cornbread.

I once even ordered a vegetarian burger, to be greeted with a response of "Would you like bacon on that?"

at school they serve veggie burgers in the cafeteria and i've convinced a few of the profs i know to try the veggie burger with bacon. they're hooked. now all the vegans and vegetarians are pissed because the cafeteria staff ask if people want bacon on their veggie burgers.

I often get black bean veggie burgers with bacon and beef chili on them. It makes for such a pleasant band ride the next day. But! Nothing beats tempeh for cambodian death camp ass!

Save the drippings from an all day pork loin in a slow cooker but for a quick breakfast I'm hooked on turkey bacon.
