I read that most fast food places have dramatically increased the quality of their coffee within the last year or two, to compete with starbucks. and I also read that starbucks is going to start offering breakfast to go.
Both of these are true. Also, Commercial coffees (i.e. Maxwell House and Folgers) now compliment their selections with dark roast arabica. Starbucks (although I'm not a big fan of them) has done the most to expose the average coffee drinker to better quality coffee. In doing so, they educated the consumer, and now have to suppliment their shrinking market share.
