Goner Message Board / Food & Drink / ham glaze ideas
Posted: Dec 31, 2005 8:07 pm

We've got a really fantastic ham we're baking tomorrow for New Year's. Right now we're planning on going with a fairly traditional mustard/honey/oj/bourbon glaze, but I'm hoping some Goners might have something a little more interesting they might share.

p.s. awesome idea for a forum Eric! 2006 will bow before before the assembled culinary prowess of the Goner BB!

Green Pepper/Jalapeno Pepper jellies mixed, instead of honey.

coca-cola... it's the best ham glaze there is

I've done the coca cola glaze many times and it does turn out very, very well (if you've never done it, definitely try it!), but I'm trying to do something a little different tomorrow.

The pepper jelly is a simple yet awesome idea and I think I'm gonna try to track some down after I leave work this evening. Thanks Jack!

I tried jalapeno jelly for this first time last week and dang it sure was tasty. I think I had it with some cream cheese on a cracker. Can't wait to try some coke glaze.

Heinz 57 sauce, honey, and some brown sugar. No shit.
