Here we are, born to be kings,
We're the princes of the universe.

Here we belong, fighting to survive
In a world with the darkest powers.

And here we are, we're the princes of the universe
Here we belong, fighting for survival
We've come to be the rulers of your world.

I am immortal, I have inside me blood of kings.
I have no rival, no man can be my equal
Take me to the future of your world.

Born to be kings, princes of the universe
Fighting and free, got your world in my hand
I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand
We were born to be princes of the universe.

No man could understand. My power is in your hand
Ooh, ooh, ooh, people talk about you.
People say you've had your day.
I'm a man that will go far.

Fly the moon and reach for the stars
With my sword and head held high
Got to pass the test first time-yeah
I know that people talk about me. I hear it every day.
But I can prove you wrong 'cause I'm right first time.
Yeah yeah alright watch this man fly, bring on the girls

Here we are. Born to be kings,
We're the princes of the universe.

Here we belong. Born to be kings,
Princes of the universe. Fighting and free
Got the world in my hands
I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand.
We were born to be princes of the universe.

Three songs to listen to before going out on the razzle:
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
The Boys are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy
Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting by Elton John
and throw in Mama Weer All Crazee Now by Slade
Guaranteed great night out!

Another One Bites the Dust that was the first one that came to mind for me...

I like that one that goes "To avoid conversations, she never kept the same address... something, something, something... just like a baroness..." In the refrain they sing "Queen, got my virginity..." etc etc I can't remember the name of it... Oh Freddy!

That's "Killer Queen." I love that one, too. It's so gay and Broadway; very Anthony Newley-esque, just like me.

" some of us have marijuana...." listen to "Another one bites the dust" backwards!!!! NO SHIT!!
Posted: Oct 13, 2005 8:07 am
That GI Joe record you'd play backwards when we were in 7th grade was the best. "whooooooly fuuuuuuuuck, OH NO!"

" some of us have marijuana...." listen to "Another one bites the dust" backwards!!!! NO SHIT!!

I've done this. I always thought it said "It's time (or "it's fun") to smoke marijuana..."

There's one on a J. Geils Band record that goes "It doesn't take a genius to tell the difference between chicken shit and chicken salad." It's awesome, can't remember which song. Years ago my friend made a whole tape of these.

I think "Another One Bites the Dust" is badass. The girls in my band wrote a song called "Queen" that has the lyric "Get on your bike and ride!"

Killer Queen - one of the best glamsongs ever. And god, do I hate that fuckin band.
'Kween' they call a mail animal that is born with no nuts and weenie in my local dialect. We used it as another word for fag: kweene.
O, cheap symbolism of this world!

Posted: Oct 15, 2005 12:39 am
No 200 dollars for me because I'm no fan either, but I will second Killer Queen. A Bowie rip, but a damn good one.
