Today I bought THE NOW "Fuzztone Fizzadelic" on Damaged Goods. It's the band doin' their first set list from '77 but re-recorded in '04. Fooled me! Sounds like '77, not '04 at all. I thought it was just old singles. Really great stuff. I never realised how good "INTO THE EIGHTIES" was. That's my pick. The title of the album is sadly one of the worst in history in my opinion. Beauty Queen, Roxy Music

STILL dammit.

deep in the night
flying very strange cargo
our soulships pass by
solo trips to the stars
in the sky

that whole side A is great. and side B of their first album is so slaying.

It's the taste that makes him do it and he always does it right
He's a little piece of history 'cos his brain it ain't too tight
And his mumma, she's a bummer but she's really, really gear
And his poppa, he's a bopper with an empty crate of beer
And his brother, he's a lover and his sister is one too
I guess they don't know what Steven do.

Oh, Steven's got a poppy and it keeps him warm and tight
He keeps it down his trousers to protect him in a fight
He paints, it is a fetish, it ain't all that he can do
I guess he never watched the news
His eight-string is a lover and his six-string is one too
I guess they don't know what Steven do.

I guess he's almost handsome, I guess he's rather brave
I guess he got some evidence for living in caves
I know his little brother, I know he don't exist
I can always beat him on the army list
His Vashti is a lover, his hedgehog is one too
I guess they don't know what Steven do.

Oh, camels lack reality and camels lack a brain
I guess that ain't too true but there's a villa in Spain
He's got a kiosk fetish, an aspro in his glass
You know that Stevie never lives in the past
His headpiece is a kiosk, his wigwam bandit too
I guess they don't know what Stevie do.

Every day I get a brand new show
off TV record and radio
I breeze with the sleaze on my cassette
'cause I've got the FM and AM and I know you now

C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60
C30 C60 C90 Go
30 60 90 Go

A bit bam-boogie and a booga-rooga
my cassette's just like a bazooka
a bligger a blagger a blippity-blop
well I'm going down to the record shop

Yeah!

And the boss said
"LP, single, picture cover or plain
I've got all the hits and all the big names
I've got biggest discounts in my store
if you buy three records, I'll give you four"

C30 C60 C90 Go
off the radio I get a constant flow
hit it, pause it, record it and play
turn it, rewind, and rub it away

C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60
C30 C60 C90 Go
30 60 90 Go

It used to break my heart when I went in your shop
and you said my records were out of stock
so I don't buy records in your shop
now I tape them all, 'cause I'm Top of the Pops!

Yeah!

Now I got a new way to move
it's shiny and black and don't need a groove
now I don't need no album rack
I carry my collection over my back

C30 C60 C90 Go
off the radio I get a constant flow
hit it, pause it, record it and play
turn it, rewind, and rub it away

Policeman stopped me in my tracks
said "Hey you, you can't tape that
you're under arrest 'cause it's illegal"
So I shoved him off and blew his whistle
I'm a pirate and I keep my loot
So I blew him out with my bazooka

C30 C60 C90 Go
off the radio I get a constant flow
hit it, pause it, record it and play
turn it, rewind, and rub it away

You're rich enough to have a record collection
I'll bring my bazooka round for inspection

Sometimes it better get hit twice as fast
so I press my playback to make it last
I breeze with the sleaze on my cassette
'cause I've got the FM and AM and I know you now

C30 C60 C90 Go
off the radio I get a constant flow
hit it, pause it, record it and play
turn it, rewind, and rub it away

C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 C60 C90 Go
C30 360
C30 C60 C90 Go
30 60 90 Go!

There is no season when you are grown
You are always risen from the seeds you've sown
There is no reason to rise alone
Other stories given have sages of their own.

Nicki French = "Total Eclipse of the Heart"

I heard it in Jimmy John's the other day, and it's great for all the right reasons. It's not a guilt pleasure, it's a total pleasure.

Dandy, dandy,
Where you gonna go now?
Who you gonna run to?
All your little life
You're chasing all the girls.
They can't resist your smile.
Oh, they long for dandy, dandy.

Checkin out the ladies,
Tickling their fancy,
Pouring out your charm
To meet your own demands,
And turn it off at will.
Oh, they long for dandy, dandy.

Knockin on the back door,
Climbing through the window,
Hubby's gone away,
And while the cats away
The mice are gonna play.
Oh, you low down dandy, dandy.
Dandy

Dandy, you know you're moving much too fast,
And dandy, you know you can't escape the past.
Look around you and see the people settle down,
And when you're old and grey you will remember what they said,
That two girls are too many, three's a crowd and four you're dead.

Oh dandy, dandy,
When you gonna give up?
Are you feeling old now?
You always will be free,
You need no sympathy,
A bachelor you will stay,
And dandy, you're all right.
You're all right.
You're all right.
You're all right.
You're all right.
You're all right.
