They better get that puppy on ice. I guess the cooler is a little small.
Do the bigs ones taste just as good as the littel ones? I cooked up some catfish nuggets 2 weeks ago in my FryDaddy. Yuuuummmmmmyyyyyy!!!

This picture (and story I guess) was in the paper here too. I and asked this exact question to my co-worker....I said, I'll bet that's one tough-ole bastard but she felt the opposite....

Man. I always heard they could get HUUGE, but nothing like that.....hey DONKEY, what is the average life span of a (yummy) bottom feeder like this??

Them big ones ain't as tasty as the little 1 pounders are, but if you cut 'em up right, they are, of course, good eatin'. I grew up fishing the Santee-Cooper chain of lakes in SC, where we'd pull 50-plus punders on a regular basis, and where they pulled a record 107 pound 9 ounce cat (17 pound test for 3 hours!) and still hold a record of 58 pounds for a channel cat. The best tasting steaks off a big cat like that are right behind the eyes on top of the head. deeeeee-lish.

ok, my back-in-the-day stories are over. doh.

If you're not into tofu, if you enjoy destroying your brain.
If you like baking pies at midnight, whether pecan or raspberry-grape.
I'm the lady you've looked for, knock me out and cover my mouth with tape.

Ya know, don't catfish have spines that could spike you if you aren't careful? I imagine noodlin could be quite painful.

you soak the meat off those big ones in buttermilk for a few days, or they taste like mud. I got a new prop for my boat today, I think i'm going fishing in a couple of hours!!!!!!!!

It's not always a catfish in the hole either. Sometimes other things that will bite are encountered (turtles, snakes). I work with a guy from OK he used to noodle all the time. Apparently people do get killed.
