Adventure on Atari. Sorry. It sucked.
Posted: Apr 8, 2013 1:08 pm
When the most fun you can have in a game is getting stuck in a wall, I think that game sucks.

Goddamn "silver" chalice!
Posted: Apr 11, 2013 3:21 pm
mappy! never understood that one.

i thought Echo (the dolphin) sucked, but then i watched as someone played it properly and with porpoise and it still sucked but made a little bit more sense.

with porpoise

Pitfall! Also the Indiana jones Atari game.
Posted: Apr 12, 2013 7:16 am
Pitfall rules Andria, what are you talking about?

Pac Man. I even thought it sucked at the time.
Posted: Apr 12, 2013 10:01 am
I am probably going to catch a raft of shit for this, but I hated Zelda.

Pitfall! Also the Indiana jones Atari game.

Atari sucked. Remember Colecovision?

That was like Nintento 1982!

I always wanted an intellivision. My friend had one and I was jealous as fuck for some reason. Then, I got an Atari 5200. I still have it.
Posted: Apr 12, 2013 10:29 am
Best Colecovision game ever....

Star Wars was one of the better movie franchise Atari games and it sucked...also Road Warrior for 8 bit Nintendo pretty much sucked.
Posted: Apr 12, 2013 3:40 pm
Colecovision had an Atari 2600 adapter, but 5200 kind of trumped that.

I always wanted an intellivision.

Colecovision ruled it. Buddy of mine had Intellivision, and the only thing cool about it was it had a game that had "talking" in it, a digital voice that said, "haha, you lose," or something. Pretty rad at the time.

Colecovision had Venture, Donkey Kong (came with the console-arcade quality), Carnival, and the best, Dig Dug. And Q-Bert. Come on.

Atari 400=Best!
Posted: Apr 13, 2013 9:14 am
Oh, and CV had Frogger!

After Atari 2600 I had no idea there were upgrades.

Raise your hands if you remember the Magnavox Odyssey.

We had it. Pretty bad, but the console looked like a computer and it seemed rad at the time.

Got an Odyssey II, Atari 2600, Colecovision, and Intellivision from the 0 bit era.

Back to worst games: Friday The 13th and TMNT for the NES. Chop those games' dicks off and put em in a frying pan.

Odyssey II was cool. My grandmother had one. The games were almost like hyper-modern art.

TMNT on the NES was great. Fester's Quest sucked.
Posted: Apr 13, 2013 11:15 am
Thrown out of Sears for exploiting Odyssey's revolutionary voice simulator. Scenario repeated a few years later with MaCintosh Paint.

Yeah, Odyssey 2. Never had Odyssey 1, which was like Pong & stuff.
2's games were weird takes on stuff already out there.

I was absolutely addicted to moon patrol on the 5200.
Posted: Apr 13, 2013 3:27 pm
Friday the 13th was awful. So was Jaws. I liked the TMNT game up until that level where you just drove around aimlessly in the Turtle van until you ran out of missles and turned the fucking machine off. I liked Mappy but I was huffing a lot of duster back then so who knows.

TMNT was a game most people panned, but I thought it was pretty awesome also....to me it had a comodore vibe going on. I beat it.
Posted: Apr 15, 2013 12:25 pm
I beat it.

How did you get past the aforementioned drive around in the van until you ran out of missiles level?

I don't know...but it was before Game Genie so none of that funny business....it was one of the best video game outros I'd ever seen.

Yeah check it out, you get to see Splinter in his human form...I guess that is what was so gratifying about it. I seem to remember a bunch of japan style shit, but maybe that was in TMNTII.

We had colecovision and it ruled. Friday the 13th definitely sucked. I remember that Cabbage Patch kids game haha my sister had it - and yes I played it. No shame. Didnt you have to put a little card into the controller for intellivision?

Strawberry Shortcake - Atari
