As a guitar teacher, this really made my day. What a great slice of musical history.

Yeah this was great. They printed it in the Memphis Flyer this week.
Never found any of his records but I have a few recordings I got somewhere for my radio show.
Love this one...

Thanks for posting that Andrew. Pretty great riffing. The patriarch I never knew I had. It's a Christmas miracle!

His version of "Caravan" kills! But most versions do.

Everybody got one of these? This is a good price:
Indeed! Great record. This has Bazooka's name all over it.

buck, you heard vincent bell's version of caravan? i'm pretty sure this was the second version he did. just got it. totally bad ass, and perhaps even better than les paul's now-sound take on it:

Yep, he's friends with the guy who bought out all of Roland's remaining stock of Rene, Good, Rita, ARA and practically every other record Roland owned publishing on. All the really cool titles are already gone. That guy auctioned a couple of cool ones I've never had before recently though.

That was a cool read will reread it when I'm trapped at work on day. I was listening to Otis Rush the other day and for the first time looked at the players on the back of the sleeve. Dwayne Allman had played on half the tracks. I wasnt realy that surprised, just felt weird because I never made the connection.
