I'll check that out. What do you have coming up on Black Gladiator?
Posted: Nov 26, 2011 10:56 am
a single from the hussy with a remix by FNU ronnies. Bo Diddley covers box set feat. lamps, haunted george, cheater slicks, chicken snake, matt k. shrugg, and not sure who else yet. i'm getting there though. tsot album???
Posted: Nov 26, 2011 11:02 am
you just made me really, really, happy. You're the dude that turned me onto The Hussy....I think that could well be my album of the year....

oh yeah, getting recordings of a friend's band from vegas soon. i spent three days at the distillery with them in the late 90s. said friend had mick collins produce it. recordings turned down by crypt/ ITR = probably good enough for me! total 90s garage turkey crypt style jams. thinking about doing a large center 10" so it looks like a giant 45. the eyes TAQN reissue is like that. such a cool format.

you just made me really, really, happy.
Which makes me and my girl say: BARF.

What? Ya'll don't like The Hussy?
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 11:36 am
also let me just add

Posted: Nov 27, 2011 1:12 pm
I was raised with the whole " if you don;t have anything nice to say, blah, blah, blah" I also don't say shit on the internet that I would not say in real life.

Yeah, I make fun of my kid and he makes fun of me, but I always go to his gigs and help set up or whatever, just generally support him.

I never claimed to know shit about music....that's why I'm here!

I buy a lot of music because I love music, have a good job and have expendable income...I don't buy bass boats, or fancy cars, or shit like that. I buy records and blu rays. That's what I spend my money on....if someone recommends something I'll check it out and If I like it I'll buy it. VOM for instance....fucking love that.

By the way on facebook, Sam and Tommy told me about this fake Christian band called Knights of the New Crusade....fucking awesome.

the Reatards through a headphone

tell me about this newfangled headphone contraption. Can I use it to communicate with the recently departed?
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 2:43 pm
i think cole, all shit talk aside, is a decent guy for this simple reason: I was just raised with the whole " if you don;t have anything nice to say, blah, blah, blah" I also don't say shit on the internet that I would not say in real life.

its tough to dislike someone who has never said a bad word to anyone, and seems so genuinely to enjoy the music. the vast majority of people do not hear VOM and think "there is some shit i need to buy" and "buy" is the operative word.

whether its propping up a bunch of already overinflated egos is another conversation altogether, but my feelings are that the more people actually BUYING the music as opposed to just downloading it, its a good thing.

cole is a sponge and he is soaking up cool tunes, i dont see a problem with that.
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 2:47 pm
what the fuck is going on here anyway?
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 2:49 pm
By the way on facebook, Sam and Tommy told me about this fake Christian band called Knights of the New Crusade....fucking awesome.

hey Cole - we saw these guys about 6 years ago at Summer Safari Weekender (just south of Berlin) - the fest was held in a 800 year old castle - the Knights were hilarious !
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 3:15 pm
That must have ruled Brett. Yeah, the dude has a chain mail headdress!
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 6:27 pm

Posted: Nov 27, 2011 7:55 pm
I saw the Knights in New Orleans for some reason I think. Or was it in Memphis for Gonerfest one year? They wore the outfits but didn't really get to into the schtick.

I wish I could find the MRR article about them from '04. It was excellent.
Posted: Nov 27, 2011 11:13 pm
nice try, cole.

I just wanted to concur that Tommy is a sweater wearing dude.

Man up.

personally I find the non-censoring a relief and/or amusing.

Sure, people got axes to grind, especially when they're ex-CIA, but what the hell.

Why are you so miserable?

'm going out on a blind date with a mulatto next weekend. No peckerwood with discriminating tastes would do the same. And I joined my local chapter of the KKK once, but then they kicked me out once they found out that I was baptized Catholic.

Posted: Nov 30, 2011 10:35 am
You have to go about 1:20 into that manowar vid before it gets totally great. Isn't Ross the Boss from the Dictators in that band?
Posted: Nov 30, 2011 10:59 am | Edited by: tigerblinds
I thought it was the Dictators drummer that was in ManoWar.

But they were probbably all weight lifting buddies.
Posted: Nov 30, 2011 11:01 am
Ross the Boss is the guitarist.

"Carry On" has the same cheesiness factor as "I Stand Tall" w/ half the flavor.
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 8:29 am
I had a dream once that I got drunk with Nick Cave at a hotel bar....we were just staying at a hotel and were both drinking at the bar...that german guy from The Bad Seeds was there...it wasn't a very eventful dream, more weird than anything.
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 5:43 pm
the guy from neubaten? that would certainly liven it up
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 8:27 pm
"Carry On" has the same cheesiness factor as "I Stand Tall" w/ half the flavor.

aaaaaaaaah, getting your big mouth back?
Feel save, boy?

Carry on is a series of very dumb British movies, so dumb even BJ would think: it is silly, but is it funny too?

Loads of those movies here, esp when a gay friend of yours starts about his dreams.
But hey: to each his own.
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 8:31 pm

Heh, Blixa is the biggest junkzombie you've ever seen.

Guys who dream of Nick Cave huh.

Stop gaying up this board I said. Go blow Ned in your own bed.
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 8:34 pm
I'm gonna take a nap, so BJ and TB: you both have won.
You can get your price at Puke Alarm's Descision Making Plant.
Posted: Dec 1, 2011 9:20 pm
... is a great track by the Long Ryders.
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 9:47 am
Yes I am gay by U.S. standards because I sometimes dance with other men in public on a lark...but by European standards which is to bone another dude in the butt at least once just to "make sure you realy don't like it," I'm so fucking straight that my socks don't fit right.
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 10:02 am
I think Europeans are great...I'm sorry that you Ding Le Dangle make them seem questionable at best. You make your entire continent look bad.

I win.
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 10:18 am
Yeah, you all win with your anti european crap.
I tried to explain, bot wont bother again.
If I make my whole continent look bad they should make me King of the ugly thing they are cooking up here: Europe as a country.

Tiger, you are a nutcase. And when you cut yourself shaving, you bleed stars and stripes.

But I will always like you cause I have a weakness for the American victims of this scene, esp if they don't know they are used as a pawn by Gonerhomiez who actually hate their guts.

Wanna cuddle?
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 10:30 am | Edited by: tigerblinds
Europe is secondary...we are Anti-Ding Le Dangle and Europe by extension...that's only because we loathe you so much. They shouldn't make you king they should have you hanged drawn and quartered...

...and yeah alot of people hate me, I'm too pretty..
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 11:03 am

silly boy
I want guys like you to be anti Ding Le Dangle.
Loathing me is a big compliment from you and your mentally challanged pussy squad.
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 11:12 am
'Moderatooooooooooooooooooooooors!' can you help me make this post? see the cells in my cerebum are old and fay-ded!
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 12:15 pm | Edited by: tigerblinds
If by "mentaly challenged pussy squad" you mean 'guys who get laid without the help of gladiator movies' then that's a pretty accurate statement I guess.
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 12:17 pm
I had a really intense dream of a complete Cramps set last night. I can remember a whole set and even some really good, unknown opening band that my brain churned out! Total debauched scene in a small room with a circular staircase leading up to a 4' high stage with Lux, Ivy and somehow, none other than OFFICER BRAD on drums!!! Brad was totally disoriented claiming he'd just been grabbed to do this and told me he didn't even know what town he was in, while playing and physically fending off a crowd of NAPA-esque freaks clamoring all over the stage!

The whole thing was really vivid and seemed like it lasted a couple hours, total psycho visitation!
Posted: Dec 2, 2011 4:42 pm
i am always disoriented but even in my worst nights i could play for the cramps without issue.
