hey cole, have you got them all? i

No. I got like four of them, mostly the later ones. I really dig that zine. The Cheater Slicks history lesson was killer. Found some great bands from that zine too...The Stabs....Circle Pit. Yeah, whenever I make a Goner order I check to see if there are any other ones.

I seem to remember Bruce having TJSA on the back of his leather around 93. I had Harry Nilsson on mine in 87.

i did, i think it lasted about 2 weeks, the title is indeed a reference to tjsa, i have very little to do with it other then helping with distro in the states

I'll have to remember to pick it up...when I was 15 in Dayton I met two girls from Ohio State at a Supersuckers/Ramones/White Zombie concert...we told them we were 18. One was wearing a Queers shirt and I was wearing a Fall-Outs shirt...so the Supersuckers came over and hung out with us after the show in the hallway of the Arena....then I exchanged about 3 letters with the girl, and it was getting more serious, so in the last letter arranging a date with her in Columbus, I also mentioned I was realy only 15...I never heard from her again.

Anyway she told me all about the best band in Columbus TJSA at that time. I had the LP on American early in my record collection and still have it, and then Mike Rep filled me in on most of their early 7 inches.

That was a pretty cool way to get introduced to a band. I would wear a TJSA jacket now.

She was realy cute too w/ short black hair and Queers shirts weren't that common at that point. She knew the New Bomb Turks I think she was an English major also, I was realy enamoured with her, even after the embarassment...funny this came up on the binge/obsession thread. I think that counts circa 1994...

Bo Diddley Spring Weekend 1959 LP

I was the first to find that record (to my knowledge). I found it in a box of records that came in to Used Kids. The box was brought in by a woman in her early 70's who said they were her husband's records from college. I went through the box after buying them and noticed this very strange hand drawn cover that said Bo Diddley. I put it on and was blown away that it was a live recording of Bo at a frat house in '59 and that it was raw and unedited.

I looked on line and no one had ever listed it in any way. I contacted Bo's website and they had never heard of it.

To make an already long story shorter, the owner of Used Kids sold it to Billy Miller at Norton for a quite reasonable sum at one of the recent WFMU record shows.

I believe the bootleg copy from Germany comes from a burn I made of it off my stereo to a CD burner....that's just a guess...but who else had a copy of it?

Can pretty much just listen to golden boys song sidewalk on repeat for a couple hours.

I wish I could get my husband to stop listening to My Dick

I hate that I get these songs stuck in my head to the point of wanting to break an eardrum.
