RIP Starchild.

This is the most amazing video:

pheezy - thanks for linking that clip - amazing on so many levels (did that not end up as a bonus on one of the Funkadelic reissues?)

"I Miss My Baby" - United Soul with Funkadelic (young Garry Shider on vocals)

RIP

Cosmic Slop was the title song off of the 5th? Funkadelic album Cosmic Slop, which has been reissued on Westbound in the past.

on one of the Funkadelic reissues?

- it was included on the (enhanced) CD issue of the "Toys" collection of previously unissued tracks.

I remember Funkadelic appearing on local TV on Talent Party. They mimed to a truncated version of "Maggot Brain". The sight of an adult black male wearing nuttin' but a diaper on Memphis TV is something which really astounded a teenager even in the era of "Ziggy Stardust".

that's what I'm talking about.

I wish those old Talent Party tapes existed.
