digital leather 1st lp.

Do you just use a long headphone cord and carefully mow around it, then, or have you contrived some sort of homemade phonograph backpack?

homemade phonograph backpack

I would so buy that.

The Fall played my home town the other week, its usually 10-15 to see them.
this time it was 25. The band played for 20 minutes without Smith, he staggered on, mumbled a few songs blind drunk and fucked off after 20 minutes, leaving his greek wife to sing a few songs. They play in Edinburgh quite a lot and you get used to seeing him pretty fucked, but this was a bit too much. Dont think many promoters will take them on.
Although i'd still go see them next time

Yeah, I might have a bit of a problem paying 25 for that. But, like yourself, it wouldn't stop me. It's been some time since I last saw them, or even listened to a current record, but I'm really enjoying this one. The rhythm section is way stronger than some previous versions of the band, the record's got a nice big, heavy, sound, and the cover of "Funnel of Love" is gonna piss off the Betty Page crowd.

This morning in the car I was listening to Workdogs "Painting the Devils office"
...there's a line that goes, "Kurt walked in and they handed him a paint brush but he had no brains!"

That line cracks me up every time. I assume it's about Kurt Cobain.

That's still something like $50 isn't it? I would too, but The Fall were pretty great the three times I saw them, most recently on that Reformation Post TLC tour

Kurt walked in and they handed him a roller and said get to work! But he had no bra-i-i-i-ns! Painting the devils office again.

Goodnight Loving - Acrobaleno, getting played twice daily around here.

Warm Slime, although not really the most exciting one of theirs, in my opinion.

Wizzard Sleeve LP.

Both Georgiana Starlington 45s are great, highly recommended!

Andre Ethier 'Cop Killer' EP.

Two handfuls of Trouble In Mind releases I got from Bill at Mess-Around. All great stuff. Really digging The Hollows (want LP), Sonic Chicken 4 and Fresh & Onlys releases!

Also, STILL totally taken by The Broke Revue's ' 'O Clouds Unfold', overlooked best album of 2009 and I'm not sure if it's even available anymore as Hook or Crook is on hiatus. Seriously, best stuff Melchior has done. Check this link.

Enjoying my Personal and the Pizzas Raw Pie cassette, in awesome 70s-era Columbia parody cassette box. Saw them a few weeks back w/ Box Elders. 2 of the 3 bands had cassettes!

That's a good record.

We saw them live a few years ago in K-zoo and liked them a lot, but they didn't have any merch at that show and I kind of forgot about them. I talked to Andy (Harris) in GNL when they were at our house, and he mentioned that he and Ryan still played in Jaill and it refreshed my memory and prompted me to go out and get the album. I can't believe I waited so long, because it is fucking GREAT!

...oh, and eric o -- Jaill would be great for Gonerfest.

This morning, I have ton of data entry bullshit. Album #1 of the day so far is "Future Lived in Past Tense" by Juno. Don't know why it started playing this morning, but I am going ot stick with it.

That Jail record is great. Brought it out again last weekend. I hear they just signed to SubPop so now your sister is gonna start listening to em too.

That new Ty Segall record is fucking awesome. I love all his records, but the new one is a step up. 'Girlfriend' is gonna be the feel good party hit of the summer.
