popular music is at an all time low. guaranteed it will never get better and will probably get shittier. that could be a good thing though.

Music I hated from the 70s' and 80s' is all starting to sound better, nowadays.

What was the worst year for music ever? 2009. Next year, what's the worst year for music ever? 2010. Get the picture?

Hey yous Morrisseys! It's the flippin Grammys! What do you expect?
Posted: Feb 1, 2010 11:44 am

I still can't believe the continued popularity of the Black Eyed Peas. All they do is dance around in Target commercials and sell McDonald's, and those two weird looking guys don't really seem to do anything ever, and they get nominated for best hip hop album? Weird.

Gonna start playing those Journey records again?

the fact that the worst song i've ever heard stink up the airwaves this year got the song of the year makes me want to set things on fire. namely beyonce.

really? "all the single ladies" is the best song in the land this year? i can even handle lady gaga's music better than that song.
Posted: Feb 1, 2010 1:24 pm

and the grammy award for best heavy metal performance goes to.......Jethro Tull!

it could be argued they had actual musical acumen (though not taste) rather than merely being dancing puppets propped up by million dollar studio engineers, choreographers and personal trainers...

anytime i accidentally catch a recent popular "act" on the tv or radio i go back to the basement to resume work on my earth destructo ray.

Kings of Leon won record of the year for a completely uninteresting recording of a fully-forgettable song. Here it is:

Where's Baby Jesus when we need him?

you are high as fuck

that may very well be.

speaking of Journey--wow, Kings of Leon are sounding more and more like 'em all the time. and the instrumental bits seem tailor made for reality TV bumper music. On the next Jersey Shore...

(but since we're talking about the Grammys) I caught a few moments of the Beyonce dance routine and busted out laughing. grade-A flailing and convulsing they make these days.

oh, and look! it's a young Fergie from Black Eyed Peas:

I thought they were fucking hilarious, and so camp over the top. I loved every minute!!
(I did fall asleep the last 45 minutes, though.)
My only regret is that I COULDN'T GET OUT OF BED TO GET MY 3D GLASSES for Michael's tribute! That jungle looked so fuzzy!

That song makes me want to kill somebody. I asked my circulator to change the station the next time that bullshit comes on the radio.

I thought only pop-tards and homosexuals watched the grammys.

....oh yeah.

The best part was the Taylor Swift / Stevie Nicks trainwreck! Taylor was so off key it was amazing! I didn't know who any of these people were or any of the songs. It was just one long comedy routine! When Maxwell came out and did a song they remarked that he was on a big comeback. I turned to my wife and asked if he was the guy who did "somebody's watching me". She said no, that was Rockwell.

When have the grammy's ever had much good music? This is a serious question, has there ever been a year when they had good live performances or at least gave awards to more than one or two truly good acts? The only point to watching them is hopefully seeing someone do something embarrassing. I wouldn't actually sit through them, but I'll youtube shit like when kanye west hijacked the stage, I think that was actually the mtv awards or something else but it was fucking classic nonetheless

I'll pornhub the porn awards!

I watched this abomination with my girlfriend.
I almost broke my TV after the Taylor Swift performance.
That was horrible. She was so bad.
Poor Stevie Nicks.
I hate all that is fleetwood mac, but I would much rather listen to them than Taylor Swift ever again.

It's about to be MY house, and I don't want it.
I always thought I'd be the first to die, guess not.

All that property tax money could be spent on wine and gasoline.
