We've been going on about this around here. Here's what we've picked from Netflix so far...

So far:
Funny Games
The Strangers
The Ring
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer
The Changeling
Grace (haven't watched this one yet).

Not scary, but Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter is on Netflix Watch It Now.

I'm a NWIN addict. Too fuckin' lazy to put discs in the mail.

Howard the Duck. Great movie? or Greatest Movie?

Blue Sunshine

Hell yeah; I love that movie

The Boogey Man [as in the Ulli Lommel yin from 1980]
Asylum Of Satan
Die Monster Die!
The Howling
Fade To Black
Daughters Of Darkness
Vampire Hookers
Private Parts [the Paul Bartel joint from 1972, not the Howard Stern one]
Dr. Jekyll's Dungeon Of Death

Not suggesting that any of those are remotely scary, but they might be fun and Halloween-appropriate. Last one may be kinda hard to find, but is pretty amusing/ entertaining; a horror movie involving kung fu and the dumbest dialogue I have ever heard (and it's American, by the way).

Well dammit; I guess I missed the "scary" part. Sorry; there's some campy stoopidness for you, though.
Posted: Oct 19, 2009 1:55 pm

I obviously love the shit out of this film.
Posted: Oct 19, 2009 2:44 pm
The Toolbox Murders
Halloween (duh)
The Beast Within
Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde (1931)--Seriously, this is some scary shit.
Masque of Red Death
Posted: Oct 19, 2009 3:26 pm
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Charles Laughton version)

Trick 'r Treat was awesome

MONSTER SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Wolfman's got NARDS!" Dracula grabs a little girl by the throat and calls her a bitch! In a PG movie!! It's a total classic, and a nice change of pace if you're doing a horror marathon or whatever.

MONSTER SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great movie! Superior to the likes of the overrated Goonies, I'd say.

The original Black Christmas is essential.

I go for the more psychological stuff...I've mentioned this one before:

The Other

Great, underrated movie. Scary as hell.

And since he's in the news lately, how about Repulsion or The Tenant
