Video shot by our man in New York City, Art Boonparn, last seen riding a giant crawfish on the cover of King Louie's Chinese Crawfish album. Yes!

And just in case the easy-going beauty of their compelling, jangly indie sounds weren't striking enough, they've gone and made a super-cute video out of nothing but a sofa, some books, a bed, a skeleton and their sweet little faces. It's for "Young Adult Friction" taken from their self-titled debut album (out now through Slumberland Records). Observe the lovely simplicity:

The singer for this band is an old roommate of mine. Weird that they're famous.

Kip (the singer) is actually how I first heard the Titus dudes. He's basically responsible for that band's existence.

Oh yeah, well the girl in the band with the floppy hat sat in on my college radio show when she was 16. I think she wrote a high school paper about college radio or something.

that's a really bad band name.

They lifted it from this crazy guy in Portland named Charles Steen who alleged that the Dr. Seuss company (more specifically, his widow) had plagiarized a children's book he had written. He used to rave about this all the time at shows and parties, and made these crazy pornographic paintings involving various Suess characters. Anyway, he wrote this play about his ordeal, and called it The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

He eventually got a few years probation for all the weird threats he made to the Seuss widow.

Read all about it! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,129436,00.html
