Holy shit. 3 Songs.. ALL of them about Steel Reserve.

I think is might just be what killed the Ramones!

shouldn't they be about sailor jerry?

Somebody put this record out RIGHT NOW! I'll do it myself if I have to!

1.) Is this real? Please say it's real!!!!!!!!!
2.) Where did you find out about this?
3.) Any why the fuck did it take so long for this to be "unearthed"? Isn't advertising by design meant to reach a lot of people??
4.) Who is putting this record out??

I saw a video of it (audio only) on Youtube.. then did a search and found the mp3s. I found that image too.. so I guess it's been around.

Seems pretty fucking real.

My guess is that they recorded it, got paid, and then it got shelved?

This TOTALLY need to be a one-sided single!

The all's quiet on the eastern front beer commercial is rediculous...

did they really need the cash?....really?

I guess that explains miss lindas fondness for steel reserve...

For some reason that doesn't make me mad that they did that... Probably cause I drink that shit.. To bad Dee Dee King didn't do a rap song..

I don't think I'm believing this. Isn't the term "high gravity lager" a post-Ramones creation?
Posted: May 10, 2009 2:09 pm
Nah, I remember drinking this shit over ten years ago, Joey didn't die until 2001 or so. Seems plausible to me.
Posted: May 10, 2009 2:10 pm
According to this its just Joey and possibly CJ. Still hard to stomach though, in more than one way . . .
Posted: May 10, 2009 5:11 pm
holy shit! i never heard of this either. i think the songs are pretty fucking good (with the exception of "high gravity lager" - i was never a fan of their tunes with that sound).

did they really need the cash?....really?

maybe. it says that they did these in '95 - that was when joey was diagnosed with cancer.

The songs are creditied as "performed by" the Ramones on Steel Reserve's website.
