I know there's some Pylon fans around here...

Randy Bewley, guitar player for Pylon had a heart attack yesterday while driving. was resuscitated at the scene, is in cardiac ICU, but his family is removing him from life support this afternoon. It does not at all look good.

I'm not sure if any band had a bigger influence on me in 1982.....Stop It! and Crazy are two of my favorite songs...

their shows were massive dance parties, too... he was way too young to go.

Seen Pylon once at Peppermint Lounge in the early 80's and hung out in the dressing room. Fred from the B-52's was there. They were all super nice people. Sad news.

everyone who knew him was caught off-guard.

When you think of how original and eventually influential he and Ricky Wilson were, both coming from basically nowhere....wow

how cool, the old Athens Inside/Out footage... same film has some killer footage of the Flat Duo Jets. a buncha that was expanded on in Two Headed Cow.

someone in Pylon is probably sitting on that raw footage. you right, cobb, that sure needs to resurface.
