Goner Message Board / ???? / ECSR gets Ian MacKaye seal of approval
Posted: Nov 17, 2008 1:08 pm

Went to see Ian MacKaye do a Q&A at the University of Nevada Reno last night. One of the questions he answered was "What are you listening to currently?" His reply: "There's a band from Australia that I'm listening to called Eddy Current Suppression Ring that released a great album this year." When Ian asked if anyone in the room had heard the record, I was the only one who raised his hand.

So, what kind of drink did Ian buy you before you went home together?

Sparks! He wasn't aware it had alcohol in it.

HAHAHAHA!!! They DID, but most everyone had left already. Only the Stickerguy and a few others of us got to see 'em. They were AMAZING. Supercharger played next, then Minor Threat.

There was actually a big send off in DC for Ian a few weeks ago. He moved out there and is working on his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Never too late for a punk to start thinking about his 401K!

He might make a good hotel manager. He could handle complaints from customers like, "These towels are guilty of not being white."

Well, that seals it. I have to go burn my ECSR records.
