Hey it'sKing louie Bankston. I'm gonna skateboard from Los Ageles CA to Jacksonville Florida in Febuary and March of 2009. I will need someone (hopefully a chick) to drive a car and meet me in each city as i pass them to help film and just make shure I dont get run down or sumthin... I can play some shows along the way if people could hook me up with some OMB gear when I pass thorough...Im thinking the last week of February and untill I get to the Atlantic Ocean. Any help with this will be appreciated!

if you can get someone to follow you with a car and film, they could also take your musical equipment along so you wouldn't have to borrow stuff the entire way through. :)

http://www.ihoz.com/I10.html

I-10 is the lonlilest highway in the system. If the fact that half of the interesections listed above were in the middle of nowhere isn't enough to convince you of this, if the fact that there isn't a spur route for all of AZ, NM, and 400 miles of TX

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_10

plus you can dress like him

ez riding in AZ

In Phoenix, a bill has been drafted that, if passed, states that the stretch of I-10 between Downtown and the suburb of Buckeye, Arizona will be widened to 24 lanes due to severe traffic problems that take place on the freeway during rush hours.

24 lanes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the fucking desert

the lincoln tunnel has like 6 or something...

When people attempt these kind of feats, there's usually a charity tie-in (e.g. they're raising money for cancer research or to build a hospital or a school or something.) If you can link your odyssey to a cause like that, I reckon you can get the whole thing paid for, more sponsors than you could imagine, and media coverage in every town. If this was 1978, you'd totally get to be on "That's Incredible."
Posted: Nov 5, 2008 1:19 pm

Trust me I know how beoring I-10 is ...done it! but it's a staight shot and i cant go I-40...it;s more killah lookin' but, its just what it is!

Posted: Nov 5, 2008 3:34 pm

You should start in Hawaii!
ha ha but thats not a state!!!

I did say AMERICA!!!
Posted: Nov 5, 2008 3:43 pm

You should start at Dogtown and finish at Coney Island. That would be coast to coast. Florida is kinda cheating.
Posted: Nov 5, 2008 3:44 pm

Fuck them haterrs. Jamskate the world!

Dude, you're gonna be showered with free shoes and skateboard clothes and power bars and energy drinks! And they'll put you up in swank hotels like Holiday Inn or Ramada. No Motel 6 for you! And you'll get to appear and play live on every morning "news" show from LA to JAX.

"Next on 'Wake Up Alamagordo', we have a man who is riding his skateboard coast to coast to save pitbulls and help with Katrina relief. And he's ALSO a one-man rock n' roll band...."

If you don't wind up on the cover of Thrasher, I'm cancelling my subscription.

ok,ok,ok, you really think i could pull in all this shit for free???

https://www.cof.org/Store/store.cfm?navItemNumber=3774

i would think an afternoon at a good library will give you the lowdown on responsibilities towards charity fund raising

i would think SPONSORSHIP is easier: check out the largext ad buyers in 3 top skater magazines

send yr music press kit and a (relatively) coherent cover letter covering

who
what
when
where

the why will, of course, remain, permanently enigmatic

i think Motel 6 is a great idea as is some athletic footwear company

maybe when you are in NOLA you could stop by Dr Phil Of Shit's house and sing a song for Bland Jason, thus teaching what the word originality means to him
Posted: Nov 6, 2008 3:14 pm

originality is the enemy of rock n roll you stupid old bastard.
