I saw them the other night. Hadn't seen em' in like 10 years.

Fucking BORING and it sounded terrible.

I went out for a smoke... but ultimately left when I my ears got a hold of a stale version of Killed By Death.

Pretty sure it was what I expected, but maybe not what I'd hoped for.

Let me clarify by saying I was with a friend with a Motorhead tattoo... and has seen them over 20 times.

He had the same impression as I.

Yeah, I still would've liked to have seen them. Too much going on, though, & I just can't do everything I'd like.

Speaking of which, I mention in the "Buy Records" thread that I finally found the Wendy O./Lemmy 7" with "Stand By Your Man." I'm thrilled to spin it & give it a place amongst my wax.

had a blast seeing them in St. Louis about two weeks ago now; in a club that size, six Marshall stacks are not even really that loud

must go get some Motorhead records now, as I've never owned a single one

"i'm drowning, but you think i'm waving..."
Posted: Sep 25, 2008 6:28 am

Not Waving But Drowning

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking
And now he's dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

let it be said: The Hellacopters still got the rock! 14-year band, and crimson ballroom stands the test of time.

saw them tonight and they BROUGHT IT.

guitar player stage right had total frampton blond curls and white jean duds. fun!!

Get Iron Fist and No Sleep.... and you'll be happy as hell.

Hellacopters are boring, if you ask me. I hate dreadlocks tho.
Posted: Sep 27, 2008 9:55 am

yeah, i get the samey/boring thing about them for sure, but there was rock power dished up. guitar player stage right was snorting and stomping in front of me like a white baby bull. i loved it!!

i only got to film the first 3 songs, but by the end of the show--3 encores down--they were bare chested and dripping. i tip my hat to them.

My girlfriend saw them a few weeks ago in San Diego and she had a great time. She also said that Lemmy had a great package.

OK, thank you; I still kick myself for not buying the On Parola LP, which would've been starting at the very beginning- I held the fucker in my hand at Reckless in Chicago and then thought $15 was too expensive (I admit it- I'm an idiot sometimes)

I saw Motorhead w/Blue Oyster Cult at some musicfest on my 20th b-day. They came onstage and Lemmy said "We are Motorhead and we are ROCK N ROLL!" and went right into Ace of Spades. Performed all the classic songs- Bomber, Iron Fist, Metropolis etc. It was outdoors and my ears rang for two days.

I knew someone who got to see Motorhead do their soundcheck that day. He said a bedhead Lemmy wearing soccer shorts and flipflops was sight to behold.

Lemmy's White Line Fever is a hilarious read. The man should be knighted.

I concur.

Going to see Moto head Halloween in Dublin for the third time. There new album, Motorizer, is pretty good. No "On Parole" or "1916", but still pretty good. I wish Wurzel and Philthy were still in the band.
