okay, so i thought sweet p was robbed, i loved her champagney hollywood confection---chris too....his green number was gorg...he's underappreciated--
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 1:00 pm

I want Victorya to get her snarling little face OUT of there. She seems like such a bitch.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 2:06 pm

I am glad pointy beard got out of there over christian. Not that i like Christian, but he's the only entertaining one left. Plus that red dress made that girl look like a fat filipino whore.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 2:10 pm

I thought Christian's was horrible, but let's be real, nothing is going to look good on some chubby, mouthy, entitled teenager like that girl--shudder. I am glad Christian blamed "his client"--she was horrendous and Nina should go fuck herself.

Victoria is a bitch face supreme. That dress wasn't that bad, but V had that whole attitude of "This challenge is so beneath me" the entire time.

Chris had my fave one and yeah, Sweet P's fabric saved her kinda "meh" dress; you can get a vintage nightgown and rock that prom look sistahs!

Exactly! Do the judges really have know idea what these people have dealt with leading up to the runway? Maybe they should. I felt downright sympathy for the silly little chickenhawk...though putting ruching, lace and gathers all over that demon child's porky little body looked like total poo...

I loved Sweet Pea blushing over her prom picture!! Her date was perfect Wooderson stoner-stache dude...and she was a little Catholic school panty-dropper! They totally did it in the back of his El Camino under the stars!
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 4:36 pm

Yeah, last night made me finally sidle over to Christian and Sweet P a bit.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 4:44 pm

Christian

I am glad he got knocked down a couple of pegs, though I DO like him.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 4:48 pm

So, ladies, let's hear it: what did you wear to your proms???

I wore a vintage 40's black velvet jacket top, a 50's black taffeta circle skirt with a giant, green crinoline under it, and my favorite vintage cowboy boots. It was 1988, I looked like I was going to see the Cult...ridiculous.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 4:50 pm

I wore a floor length form-fitting green velvet dress that I had made for me. It was actually quite pretty, but not anything I would ever wear again!
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 5:43 pm

Here's what I wore to my prom. I still have the dress!

Victoria is just an awful person.
Rami's dress looked like every other dress he's made!
Sweet P was sweet, and I did like the dress.
I'm glad Christian stayed. He IS entertaining.

Here's what I wore to my prom. I still have the dress!

Awww! You are so cute!
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 6:05 pm

I loved that dress. It's black guazy stuff. And, yep, you can't tell it by the photo but I had baby's breath in my hair.
thanks, bowie. That's when I still had visible clavicle bones. sigh.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 6:12 pm

alisa...so pretty! i love the roses!!!!!
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 6:32 pm

I wore a god awful thing I "designed" myself. White iridescent fabric, sheer sleeves and white iridescent sequins on the bodice and cuffs. It was much cooler in my head.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 6:57 pm

I wore a black velvet dress. I looked like a fucking train wreck cause I had NO IDEA how to put make up on.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 6:59 pm

The best part of the show was when Vistoria was all, "Why did you pick me?" and her girl was like, "Um, well, I had last pick."
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 7:01 pm

I think the either the Emo Fag or the Fat Fag will win it.

They just put Emo Fag on the chopping block to add suspense.

On a side note, I saw that Michael Coors dude's clothes in a store the other day and they were boring and gross. Who is he to say shit?
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 7:07 pm

Emo Fag
is that the electro clash looking fag?

which fag cries all the time? and who was the chicago fag with the pinched face?

looked like I was going to see the Cult
or X
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 7:11 pm

who was the chicago fag with the pinched face?

he was separated at birth from this dude. He likes them french-fried pa-taters.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 7:47 pm

I decided last night that I really don't like Nina's face. She looks like she's suckin on a lemon. I went from hating on Christian to wanting to hug him- he couldn't help it he got a rotund lil' shithead.
As for my prom dress- I had a floor length, black gauzy, sleeveless number that had beads sewn onto it in various places. It sounds horrid but was actually quite pretty. If I had it to do over again I'd wear a tux. Dresses are uncomfortable.
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 8:06 pm

ricky's the one that cries all the time and he should have been cut last night.

Christian is not a "chickenhawk" as mentioned above. if yr gonna make fun of the gays make fun of 'em right. On the converse he may be a 'hawked-chicken' but I think the old queens and bears would rather just plug up their drafty windows with his type. Christian got challenged good and let his client bulldoze him. He and Ricky (who should have been cut) chose to make gowns the same color as their models skin tone. Why? Granted, Christians model axed for browns but she also axed for golds and blacks. Gold, dude. You could have knocked that one outta the park but you chose to make her look like a giant king dong.

I miss Elisa

paristheare, that was classic.

Well, I was lamelamelame and SKIPPED MY PROM. It was at Central and I was heavy into my Antenna days at that stage; I had no desire to do the Smurf with the Gents and LDJ's all night (ask a Memphian to decipher what that means).
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 10:49 pm

Christian is not a "chickenhawk" as mentioned above. if yr gonna make fun of the gays make fun of 'em right.

I've heard it both ways. I think it makes more sense the "other way". As it was explained to me, the "chicken hawk" was the young dude as it was a reference to the chicken hawk that was always trying to bag Foghorn Leghorn. It got reversed though somewhere in history and the little boys are the chickens and the trolls are the chicken hawks. I think, originally, the term chicken hawk was meant to signify young boys that seduce older men (that would make more sense in the NAMBLA sense as the older men are positioning themselves as the victims, unable to resist the charms of the young boys).
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 10:56 pm

cute pic, Alisa!
I wore: jeans, combat boots, and probably some kind of Visionwear hoodie -- skipped prom (our h.s. didn't have 'em -- Baptists, you know -- although there were plenty of sorority dance events that night) to go hear Suicidal Tendencies @ the Antenna with my then-bf...
Posted: Jan 10, 2008 11:28 pm

i actually by my own horror did not hate victoryaaass dress. even though she seems like a hideous person. hate sweet pea still...hmmm...hated her dress too. i really hated chop faces dress and totally am glad he's gone. christian actually did not make me as crazy for once and i was not in total hate mode over him...
i skipped prom too....
Posted: Jan 11, 2008 1:03 am

Mulled over this one and truly, this is just some comeuppance for Christian because he has been such a talkin' ass bitch with all his snarky, queeny bull shit. He just had to deal with a roly poly, black, teenage version of HIMSELF. Nah!
Posted: Jan 11, 2008 1:56 am

Christian is not a "chickenhawk" as mentioned above. if yr gonna make fun of the gays make fun of 'em right.

I was totally refferring to his look alone and not his homo social standing...but I see what you're saying. He looks more like one of those fancy fighting cocks anyway...
Posted: Jan 11, 2008 2:44 am

Victorya's dress was fucking hideous, and one of the worst ones, but I could tell they were going to give it to her. THe big gay Stay Puft guy had a best looking dress, and Sweet P.'s was 2nd. Also, like Sweet P's prom picture with her stoner boy escort.
I really thought that Victorya's was one of the worst and worse then pointy beard's red dress. You know what, Victorya may suck but she ain't half bad looking.
Posted: Jan 11, 2008 2:46 am

he was separated at birth from this dude. He likes them french-fried pa-taters.
Yes, he did. Mmrrrmm, yep, uh-huh that's riiight.
Posted: Jan 14, 2008 7:36 pm

well, victoryaas dress isn't my taste but it looked appropriate for prom girl. perhaps christian was getting his and it was good to see him get all bummed and have to work it out. sweet p's dress reminded me too much of a nightgown ala courtney love kinda thing. but whatever.
i did love her prom pic though. that was bad ass...
hated chop face red thing and i didn't like hat guys either. thought those were the worst.
Posted: Jan 15, 2008 1:14 am

I am just waiting for this season to make me care. So far, I do not!
Posted: Jan 15, 2008 1:50 am

exactly! this season is so lame-o-rama. i'm not really caring either. i could love or hate em or whatever.
all i keep thinking is what did they do to my favorite show?????
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 3:15 pm

At least last night's challenge was actually challenging...and it weeded out basically everyone. Only Chris and Christian really had the creative brainpower to work it out and that shocked me; how do you get to that stage and not understand the entire art/function/business code of Fashion?

Rami SUCKS. Avant garde=ribbons and trim on some dumb Roman toga dress? How embarrassing.
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 4:05 pm

Rami SUCKS.

That was awful. His true colors showed too, disrespectful macho gay man prick. Sweet P, and her adorable dress showed him for exactly what he is...a pompous ass toga maker. I still only love Sweet P in comparison to the other bitches...but ain't that the way it goes. Kit and Ricki...what the fuck... 'Little Bo Peep has lost her mind'? ...and that ready to wear Butterick pattern dress a monkey could have made. Pillowcases... INDEED. Bringing Chris back? Best move ever.
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 4:26 pm

don't you think that ricki should have been the one to leave though?

also...i loved the trench coat!!!!!
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 4:30 pm

Ricky will get cut next week. He's gotta go. He's always in the bottom.

And yes, Rami should have gotten cut for his avant-garde dress looking exactly like everything else he makes.
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 4:41 pm

I totally hoped it would be Kit and was glad, she insisted on those prarie-dawn fabrics...and I actually kind of liked Ricki's corset part of the dress. Plus, it's true, Ricki will be gone soon enough.

I liked Viktorya and Jillians pieces but when Vik said, "We have 3 looks, so we should win." I wanted to reach into the screen and rip her throat out...Cuntessa!
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 5:23 pm

I've heard it both ways. I think it makes more sense the "other way". As it was explained to me, the "chicken hawk" was the young dude as it was a reference to the chicken hawk that was always trying to bag Foghorn Leghorn.

See, the reason why this bit was funny, was that usually chicken hawks are a lot bigger than the chickens. It was a cartoon. Chicken hawks (old gays) prey on the chickens (skinny gay teens).
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 5:33 pm

And Ricky should have went last night. The guy is so out of his league, everything he's done has been terrible. Kit was more talented. And all he does is cry.

I don't mind Sweet P so much now. It was cool she Rami in his place. That guy better not drape anything again, or Kors and Nina are gonna run him out.

Chris and Christain are the only thing keeping this show entertaining.
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 5:35 pm

Rami is indeed a fascist tyrannical dickhead- I wish sweet pea would've been a bigger bitch and stood up to him because he deserved to be told off. I must admit I was surprised that Kit was cut (that sounds funny) because I've been waiting for Ricky to go for ages and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity- then he'll have a REAL reason to cry. I like him as a person but he makes the same thing every time and I can't believe he's been spared for so long. But- FINALLY an episode worth watching.

yep. last nights was this seasons best.
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 6:12 pm

I wish sweet pea would've been a bigger bitch and stood up to him because he deserved to be told off.

Why? He was a total prick that didn't deserve a response/give him the satisfaction that he succeeded in upsetting her. I'm SOOO glad she didn't -- cause he totally got to make his toga dress.

Sweet P ruled this sitaution. And why I have enjoyed her since day one -- she has such a good spirit. Friendly, supportive, genuine and have loved most of her designs -- her dress was SOOO lovely last night. I hope I'm as cute, lovely and as fashionable as SP at age 47 as she -- and hope to have as many tattoos by then as well (go ahead - laugh away assholes).

I hate Victoria. And not a fan of the other chick either. But yeah...that coat was fucking bad ass. The model looked amazing!
Posted: Jan 17, 2008 7:36 pm | Edited by: saispas

I have turned the tables on how I felt about Sweet P and now like her (you got me, plastique valentine!) just fine. She handled Rami much better than I possibly could have because he was an irritable, snippy, neurotic mess who has delusions of grandeur. One trick pony.

Victoria is simply awful. Sure, she can make some semi-attractive designs, but nary an original idea; the coat was attractive but you can tick that same, hyper-literal look off runways from 1988-the present. She is such a control freak to boot. She reminds me of the result of some parents who cultivate their children rather than just let them be kids. Fuck her.

Chris rules and I like Christian now. I can't deny that little weirdo makes some clothes that I'd buy all over the place. Even that knockoff pencil skirt was desirable. The gown they made was heavenly and the hairstyle that "influenced" it? I WANT IT!!!

***Note: All of you need to be reading Cintra Wilson's colums in the Thursday Styles section of the NT Times. She is classic.***
Posted: Jan 18, 2008 7:34 am

Jillian has never done anything to make me feel anything about her until this episode. Everytime she started to talk, it was painful! She's SLOW or something. I wanted to reach in the TV, slap her and say WAKE UP! She even WALKS slow. No wonder they couldn't get anything done in time.

I wanted Rami to go and was disappointed that it was Kit.

We sure want to slap a lot of people on this show.
Posted: Jan 18, 2008 1:42 pm

She's SLOW or something.

She's got an Oxy habit.
Posted: Jan 18, 2008 6:02 pm

Oxy clean or not I wouldn' kickr outta the sack.

But the REAL story was the preview for next week-HEIDI'S HAIR. Anyone else catch that? Jesus Tapdancing Christ, that woman is out for blood.
Posted: Jan 18, 2008 7:01 pm

thank god it was a challenge. i did like what chris and christian did and now they are my favorites...
rami is annoying and totally macho israeli guy who only makes fucking stupid togas. i think you all said pretty much the same thing i\'m thinkin.
they only thing changed for me now is i totallly like christian now too. screw all...
and avant garde my ass overall though...
Posted: Jan 18, 2008 10:32 pm

HEIDI'S HAIR.

Missed it somehow...I was tipsy by the end of the show.

It really was embarrassing how this new crop has no clue (or interest for that matter) in avant garde. These are the types of designers who will continue frustratingly slaving under Ralph Lauren (Jillian) factory line and/or opening some two-bit eponymous shopfront in their home town (ahem...Chloe Dal...).
Posted: Jan 19, 2008 12:44 am

..tim ahem gunn liz claibourne ahem ahem
Posted: Jan 20, 2008 12:46 am

i agree. they all wanna run the gap and stuff. yuck. no fun.
Posted: Jan 20, 2008 2:12 am

Now Isaac Mizrahi is the head designer at Liz Clai. No more Target.

I really just wish that Target and all those places would just go back in a time machine and get generic designs from India and shit and screw all this pseudo mid/high fashion joke of "fashion". Or just let that Liz Langley design for the whole womens dept. Her maternity stuff is the sexiest stuff in the store by far.
Posted: Jan 20, 2008 3:35 am

You know I was all about town in my Liz Lange Maternity. Only jeans I could deal wit cuz they had elastic in the back like little kids pants, rode low under the belly, and no creepy lookin', itchy stretch panel in the front... and belt loops... you have to wear a belt or you'll show ass crack. 'Course I never want to see Maternity again before the end of time...
Posted: Jan 20, 2008 4:01 am

I was there today and they fabrics in her line were so good compared to the other shit. They have definitely taken a turn for the worse up in there. I was tempted to buy a pair of the rose gold Loeffler Randal ballet flats, but even $30 seemed ridiculous, especially when I know I can drop that in Tuinca next week gambling wif mom.
Posted: Jan 22, 2008 3:44 am

Lyndsey watched the avant-garde challenge the other night & I gotta say, it was probably the coolest episode I've ever seen. When Gunn looked at the girls & said "If you can finish this, it's incredible", I really had to stick around & watch the rest of the episode.

The outfit the girls made was awesome, but Christian & his teddy bear buddy were totally over-the-top. Lyndsey was stunned that Ricky survived that challenge.
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 3:18 pm

fucking ricky. please.

Isaac Mizrahi is the head designer at Liz Clai. is this true?
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 3:57 pm

Man. I really thought Sweet P was gonna get the boot last night before I heard the judges comments.

I thought that shit was plain, dated and down-right ugly (HATE that color of denim -- SO 80s!). I was stunned by their comments. And the way they spoke with her almost last -- I thought they were gonna rip her a new one. And SP! What the fuck kind of outfit were you wearing for the runway? Gross! I think the producers were very kind to her and tried very hard not to show those hideous shorts she was wearing cause I could not get a good look at them. At first sight of them in the apt I thought they were boxers that she slept/lounged around in at home. Girl!

I thought it was funny how they told Rami he was in first and made him leave the runway before the winner was announced. Haa! Rad. But I guess the winner was between SP & Icky-Ricky since SP was told to leave after the winner was announced (I think that's a pattern).

Although the jeans (the silhouette) looked a little strange on Christian's model (her body-type -- maybe just too tight) -- I liked his design best. Very creative. I really thought he was gonna win it again -- and thought the judges were gonna give him extra credit for using the white cotton. They didn't say jack about the cotton and the lack of use of it -- they're always so strict on that shit.

I did like Ricky-Dicky's design -- it was cute -- but I think a big part of his win may have had something to with the marketability of it -- looked like something that any girl coould wear any ole day. Recreating Christian's design(s) on a mass scale would most likely be very complicated.
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 4:25 pm

I think christian should have won too. in fact i think rami(even though he copped jeffrey zipperseam look from last season), sweet p(excellent-loved it), and christian(most inventinve and risky) all should have been winners over ricky.

Yum!
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 5:41 pm

All's I know is that Sweet P's hubby has got a sweet stache!

The judges threw Ricky a bone. Christian deserved to win.

Oh well, at least Victoria is gone. Now I need to find a new person to hate.
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 5:48 pm

I think christian should have died
Posted: Jan 24, 2008 10:00 pm

christian should have totally won and he was funny coz everyone did just make a bunch of tube dresses. eeww...
they did throw ricky a bone. i did not understand judges comments at all. ugh.
this show is painful right now.
what did happen to that bolt of cotton? noone used it and noone said anything?? hmmm...
they all seem like such a bunch of straight arrows. my new hate will all go to rami now that victorya is gone. he is totally painful to listen to.

I thought that shit was plain, dated and down-right ugly (HATE that color of denim -- SO 80s!). I was stunned by their comments.
I was maybe not quite stunned, but I was not in agreement.
Christian's jacket was all Road Warrior and shit, but the pants were cool. Hate to say it but crying boy probably should have won. Or well even big Chris (who the judges hated) looked pretty cool at least on TV. Sweet P, still was pretty iffy. Victorya's was ugly, and she got what was coming to her. This show is way better than Top Chef because the joke with that shit is you cannot taste anything, but here at least we can see what all these fruit loops make. Damn.
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 4:26 am

yes, still obsessed with show but it is not what it once was...
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 6:06 am

Wow... I actually liked Rami's the best for the first time... can't fucking stand the 'I'm special...Jeru-so-special' attitude, but the design was cool, good shape, intersting, but classic lines... really fucking pretty.

he copped jeffrey zipperseam - too true, for that alone, no win!

Sweet P's was also A-OK in my book.

Christian's was the most design-y, most creative, but he has won a shitload already (hasn't he?).

Amy Winehouse??!! Obviously this show was taped before she turned in to Smackbones McScabwhore. Ricky did fine, Grandma would be proud... sigh... Oh Ricky, you must be so dehydrated.
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 9:33 pm

maybe its that damn hat he always wears.
rami's voice and special israeliness makes me insane even though he's a really good seamstress man.
did ya see amy winehouse with the blonde hair? she re-dyed it and all but she was looking especially cracked out there. kind of was blowing my mind.
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 9:38 pm

Christian is by far my favorite, mainly because they are all loathsome, and he seems to genuinely irritate every other contestant.
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 5:02 pm

right now christian is my favorite as well. who woulda thunk it?
Posted: Jan 25, 2008 5:09 pm

The show would be snoozeville without Christian.
Posted: Jan 27, 2008 10:22 pm

Sweet P's was also A-OK in my book.

It got better fast when Timmy told her to shorten the length. It was nice. Ricky really got tossed a bone if his design is being sold on Levi's.com. Anyone look it up or see it?
Posted: Jan 28, 2008 11:49 am

Apparently, it's sold out on Levi's website
http://www.levisstore.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2997972&cp=20699 59

But, there is also a contest where you can be a "designer" and can get your "design" sold on the Levi's website. Deadline is Feb 6th. Get working Goners:
http://www.us.levi.com/ProjectRunway/home.jsp

Surely someone on here can do better than this
http://www.us.levi.com/ProjectRunway/home.jsp#galleryDetailItem/1353/

or this
http://www.us.levi.com/ProjectRunway/home.jsp#galleryDetailItem/1937/

although I think this is the outfit that every goner will be wearing this summer

hahahhaha! I love it!
I think Sweet P needs to get back with her Stoner boyfriend from her prom picture because her husband looks like he prolly runs a meth addict in their basement.
As for this episode- all the outfits were very forgettable me thinks.
Posted: Jan 29, 2008 3:25 pm

because her husband looks like he prolly runs a meth addict in their basement.
And by "addict" I meant lab. But yes, he did look like a meth addict who most likely didn't have all his teef.

Dammit, I really wish they'd show Project Runway Canada on one of our networks. On their network site http://www.slice.ca/Shows/ProjectRunwayCanada/Default.aspx there's a link that says, "Watch Online" but I can't open most video links from my fecking work computer so I can't check. I wonder if their version is better than ours. Judging by this season- probably.

I was thinking maybe they were the same dude, stoner-stache turned meth-stache minus teef...

Isaac Mizrahi is the head designer at Liz Clai. is this true?

Yes. Just read it in my WWD a few weeks ago. He was recently hired.

Sweet P's was also A-OK in my book.

My fave. It was right outta Native Funk and Flash.

Christian's was the most work and it was certainly good, but it was also a wee bit too much; like something Eve, Brittany Spears or Christina Aguillera would have worn two years ago--costumey fashion. I was loving his drama queen quotes though, so yeah, I have crawled into his nasty bed too.

Bravo gets a big fuck off for that one...as if this season wasn't boring enough as it is!

And I knew miss jessiebelle would catch the reference!!! I owned it for awhile but sold it on eBay for $75 a couple of years back.

Ah...the jobs that we used to be able to have in our youth!!! Yeah, if yours is hardcover, it is worth even more. The other one you need to hunt down is Cheap Chic. That one is easier to find/cheaper. I love it. Also Scavullo on Beauty.
Posted: Feb 1, 2008 4:45 pm

Told a lie:

Now Native Funk and FLash is $20 on Amazon; Cheap Chic is $45!
Posted: Feb 3, 2008 6:36 pm

i have both! i love you, your so one with my fashion book loves...
there both soft cover though. did you ever see the "it" girl do her cheap chic magazine thing out of england?
Posted: Feb 3, 2008 6:36 pm

i kinda wish he still had that job. although it was like 10 years ago...boo hoo...
Posted: Feb 3, 2008 6:59 pm

did you ever see the "it" girl do her cheap chic magazine thing out of england?

I used to have an issue of Cheap Date; it was pretty eh. I think she did a book. One of those girls now does an amazing fashion magazine, Lula, in the UK. I have one issue I bought right before I left Portland; naturally I'd never find it here. Have you ever seen it?
Posted: Feb 4, 2008 5:10 pm

it was super eh! and she got to be friends with anita pallenberg which always flipped me out. but i bought it anyway. she was clearly ripping off cheap chic of course...
i haven't seen the Lula magazine. i must must must though...i'm gonna go look for it.
Posted: Feb 4, 2008 5:13 pm

well, there's a website. i can't tell where to find the damn thing though.
Posted: Feb 4, 2008 5:15 pm

ok, wow. its $39 on ebay and $78 on amazon for two issues. damnit.
Posted: Feb 4, 2008 5:27 pm

Zzzzzzzzzzzz
Posted: Feb 4, 2008 10:42 pm

yeah ok, that WAS totally boring but what ever.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 8:05 am

Now THAT was more like it. I thought Chris' girl was precious.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 9:44 am

Christian. "Feroichy Couture" Hillaryous.

sayanora you big hatted crybaby
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 9:50 am

Yep--like that freak now. He was falling all over himself with that drag queen version of Vanity 6.

I am so glad I do not have to see that tacky net capped head of Ricky again...until the reunion, that is.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 10:07 am

heidi seems soooooo bored this season, too, right? i need a new favorite show...
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 10:27 am

Now THAT was more like it.

I loved that episode. A challenge for snooty gays like Rami with no sense of humor, fun for everyone else.... except Sweet P... what happened to her? I was singing '(I'm a) Sex Shooter' over Christian's, that was pure TV validation. Funny how all Kors has to say is 'Prince', because either he or one of his girls would wear that. Chris ruled it out of the gate... and the shot of him in his giant robe made me want to rub his belly... for some reason.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 10:31 am

I thought Chris' girl was precious.

Wasn't she? The hair was superb, a former Versace ad in a good way.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 11:29 am

That Titian red hair with GREEN LEOPARD???? He is a genius. That challenge was a return to form (of some kind). I wish I could have seen Santino on this episode. And Michael Knight. Jillian impressed me. She is weird as hell, but her cute "Heels with Everything!" shtick is finally sinking in with me.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 5:20 pm

yes, finally some good times. rami's was nasty. and christians was total appolonia/vanity prince heaven. i loved how much he loved himself and he always has this weird face when he doesn't win. sweet pea's was also very scary no good.
jilian and chris totally won. chris's hoodie also made my day.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 7:52 pm

he always has this weird face when he doesn't win.

Oh yes. Ryan and I love this. It was made even better when he came in second and Heidi chirped, "GOOD JOB!"
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 8:15 pm

chris's hoodie also made my day.

God, what was that perfect sparkly black shit he used for the lining and the booty shorts? Ridiculous. The man knows his way around a Spandex House, and that's the truth. Green leopard... mutherfuck incredible.

Yep, Jillian was so shaken up by Levi's she just put her head down and did the job... on point.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 8:29 pm

I have a pair of booty short underwear made of that--very lightweight, black and silver glittery spandex. Guess who gave them to me for a long ago birthday? A Portland stripper/escort. They are the BEST.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 8:43 pm

Man, I been shoppin' in the wrong stores.
Posted: Feb 7, 2008 8:46 pm

I know...lemme get the brand name..."Papillon Blanc" (White Butterfly). Ew, reminds me of that "Come Come My Lady" Celeb Rehab guy.
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 10:52 am

The other strange thing is how Rickie always cried like a baby (happy...cry, sad...cry) and then he gets kicked off the show and doesn't shed a tear?! haha...
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 12:35 pm

Did anyone else notice that bitch ass little look of superiority and rolling of eyes that Christian gave Ricky as he was exiting after being given the boot ? Sometimes I like that talented lil' prick but sometimes I want to slap him silly.
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 1:09 pm

I wonder if Christian will ever win a challenge?
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 1:28 pm

He has! I'm almost certain that he won the one where the fat ladies got skinny(er) and the designers had to make (horrible) outfits out of their old 'fat clothes'. I'm pretty sure he won that one....and maybe one other. I see what yer sayin' though- he's always sooo close but gets knocked down by some other designer and then he does that drama queen walk of defiance off the runway.
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 5:14 pm

I wish Christian were smarter; he is just that typical "That's so fierce!!!!" moron. And truly, look at his ensembles, they are all riffs on the same idea...skinny bottom, ruched sleeve top. He is a seamstress. There is this Russian bride here named "Ivanka Ska" who has her own design shop and it is just so sad cos she is really just a decent seamstress who steals two-seasons+ old ideas for "sexy" cocktail dresses.

She is the ABS Allan Schwartz of St. Petersburg. I am sure she fucks some yacht-owning, Viagra-popping zillionaire once a month to front this enterprise. This sort of thing is very common down here (as you can imagine).

And Franny, you are right!
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 5:47 pm

This was the best challenge so far, agreed. I think I'm developing a thing for Jillian. Rami is such a fucking prick, I hope drapes himself right out of contention. I like how he was fagging around with the girls slumber-party syle on their night off. And Christian shit-talking Ricky was the best part of this season so far. Ricky fucking sucked. I think Sweet P has a target on her now, she's probably the least 'talented' one left...I hope Rami fucks up first though. And all those commercials last night made me realize I actually wish Santino was on every season. I hated that greasy fuck, but he was entertaining for sure.
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 6:25 pm

I think I hated Santino for one or two episodes...and then the MAGIC happened and I fell in L-U-V!
Posted: Feb 8, 2008 11:18 pm | Edited by: dirtywhite

I pick Sweet P, Jillian and Christian for the top three, but that's all I can figure.

Very minor spoiler (who is the celebrity finals judge):

POSH SPICE!

well?

I liked the challenge, but was amazed at how piss poor Sweet P is (my mom made better dresses than that)!

Rami is a tool. He blamed the challenge two times for his boring ass dress.

Jillian's jacket was amazing. It reminded me of the Desperately Seeking Susan jacket with all the gold...but it actually looked sexy. She is my pick to win this thing.

Christian's ensemble was just hideous but I knew they'd love it. I guess it was OK for an runway piece though and I liked the vest as a separate.
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 9:56 am

WTF? On Rami not getting kicked to the curb? That guy is a hideous nelly!
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 10:08 am

I had my Jillian, Christian and Chris all picked out, and they had to go and fuck it up and pit Rami directly against Chris, under the guise of some horseshit 'twist'. How many times has Rami sucked shit? I swear Chris gets no respect because he's a fatso costumer... I call discrimination! The nap thing was pretty funny, though.
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 10:18 am

i loved how chris was so nonchalant and unapologetic about it!
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 11:00 am

I really feel for Chris. He was crying cause he made it to Bryant Park, and then found out he wasn't guaranteed a spot.

Its okay though, cause he'll KILL Rami in their head-to-head battle.
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 11:21 am

they go to the Met, and are restricted to the greek/roman, euro classical, and egyptian exhibits?
weak.
that challenge could have been so much more interesting.
looks like weirdo christian is taking it all.
reunion show next week, and who will win viewer's choice?
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 2:23 pm

i'm so jealous they got to be at the MET all alone?? thats kinda neat. but yeah it was for sure limited with those dumb galleries.
i can not stand rami and could care less if he can drape or not. i wish i could drape but jesus, this whole season was nothing but toga dress out of the movie animal house. just different colors.
christians was typical but i appreciate that he went for it and made so much.
sweet peas outfit was awful. just awful. and the picture she had for inspiration was amazing!!! hello!!!
i'm so glad chris gets a chance. it did look really similar to the last one but oh well...i just hope he blows it out and does a really neat show!!!!!!
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 2:37 pm

if they would have dropped the egyptian exhibit, and opened up the modern art, they might have been more creative, and we wouldn't have seen the same ol' same ol' from each one of them.
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 3:39 pm

Jillian's jacket was amazing. It reminded me of the Desperately Seeking Susan jacket with all the gold...but it actually looked sexy. She is my pick to win this thing.

She's my pick too. She never disappoints, even when she thinks she's going to flop, she somehow pulls it all together. I still want to grab Christian by the faux hawk and drop kick him- he's such a pain in the ass.
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 5:51 pm

i'm just sick of christian saying fucking "fierce" every 50 seconds. as if thats not the most boring old cliche saying ever...
Posted: Feb 15, 2008 8:46 am

who will win viewer's choice?

Chris.

i'm just sick of christian saying fucking "fierce" every 50 seconds.

I asked Ryan if Christian could say something else other than "fierce" and Ryan said, "fabulous". UGH!

ANTM infiltrates Project Runway. SPOILER ALERT!

Danielle

Here's a piece from this week's Entertainment Weekly. They have pictures in the print version, including Christian's feather ensemble.
http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20178167,00.html
They also seem to suggest that Sweet P gets to do a collection too, which that forum backs up. What's going on there?
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 6:36 pm

What's going on there?

They did that last year as well. It has to do with the taping schedule in timing with Bryant Park. The fourth place chick (can't remember her name, long brown hair, English(?), forgettable wrap dresses) got to make and show a collection, knowing (but the audience does not) that she was not a contender. It's great for the person in that position, in that the pressure is off, and you still get to show at Bryant Park.
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:28 pm | Edited by: saispas

The fourth place chick (can't remember her name, long brown hair, English(?), forgettable wrap dresses)

Kara Janx!

She ended up selling those damn wrap dresses on Shopbop for like $1000 a pop!
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:35 pm

Kara, thank you! Hopefully Sweet Pea won't pull that overpriced Shopbop crap... she should make a few bucks from showing too...I think it's fair enough.

Chris uses human hair as fringe? That is wrong on so many levels... why, Chris, why?
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:39 pm

I'd appreciate the Levi's dress Sweet P made...though I could likely make it in a Sewing 101 class at Singer's.
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:40 pm

I heard it was MONKEY HAIR!!!!
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:42 pm

who will win viewer's choice?
That weird retard lady..eliza?
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:44 pm

Kara Janx!

South African, not English...s'cuse me.

Levi's dress

I'd wear that all Summer too. For $78.00, maybe...
Posted: Feb 19, 2008 7:51 pm

who will win viewer's choice?

Chris

And $78.00 is a total Levi's price. Though they'd try to sell that thing for $478 right now.
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 3:12 pm

christian won viewers choice! so weird but i guess makes sense. sweet pea bums me out still. especially with remark on actor/actresses being in love with her.
how many awkward pauses were there everytime elisa spoke? awesome.
and i saw the entertainment weekly thing too. it totally revealed shit. gay.
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 3:23 pm

it totally revealed shit. gay.
Yeah, but at least they had know way of knowing who out of Chris and Rami was the third contestant, and obviously, we don't know who the winner is.

Weren't Chris and Rami looking very chummy and touchy-feely on the reunion?
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 3:31 pm

Looks like Bravo got in on the act themselves with photos.

Oh yeah, and Victorya! What a bitch.
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 3:36 pm

yeah, i thought that chris and rami were looking verrrrrry friendly
and victorya looked super pissed the whole time
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 5:23 pm

definitely very very very friendly the chris and rami. victorya seemed crazy and primed pissed off. what was that?
yeah. the entertainment weekly thing wasn't that big of a deal. but all this fluff added with the antm models is making the show more and more ghetto. which i guess won't make me watch it any less.
christian's "fierce" montage? ugh...
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 5:48 pm

DON'T tell me what happens!!!
I'm totally rooting for Chris to get to show.
I'm thinking that girl will take it all. Though, maybe Christian...who I wound up loving because I'm a fag hag and he turned into a real cute lil boy.
I haven't read anything about ANTM getting in on it, but if that happens I will LOVE it.

Victorya is the awfullest person they've had on reality TV in a long time. Talk about a poker up your ass...!!!

Rami is awful.
I could root for Christian, Chris, or the jewess about equally. (I still can't remember her name!!)

And...you know what the end of the season means, right? TOP CHEF IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS!
Posted: Feb 21, 2008 6:25 pm

how many awkward pauses were there everytime elisa spoke? awesome.

I wish someone would have just busted out what they were so obviously thinking; the girl is sweet, but keerist!

Victorya? WOW. Thank you Heidi for outbitching her, she so deserved that one! Verbal Germanic Slapdown!

Cintra Wilson's rundown on Salon (or was it Slate?) kinda let you know who gets it b/t Rami and Chris without confirming it.
Posted: Feb 22, 2008 8:44 pm

i think overall, the awkward pause moments of the show were the best.
A) calling victorYA uptight and B) Elisa speaking everytime with some comment and noone saying anything and looking off the other way.
Posted: Feb 22, 2008 8:57 pm

Funny thing is, I thought, though still whacked, Elisa made more sense and seemed less fruitloopy there than she ever did on the show... but yes, you know those awkward silences were just full of off-camera rolling eyeballs.
Posted: Feb 23, 2008 8:33 am

She definitely was making some kinda sense, but in a forum like that, if she was saying that stuff around me, I would have busted out laughing.
Posted: Feb 23, 2008 2:48 pm

she was making valid points they just weren't within flow of conversation with anyone and they all looked at her like she had fucking rabies.
i just want next week to be a good time...

Long island represent!
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 10:06 am

That was hilarious!!!!

I totally did not expect Jillian to live in that sort of apartment either; her style is so kooky and her condo was so Old Folks Home.
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 11:27 am

The part where Tim visits the kids at home has always been my favorite, but the Rami vs. Chris thing took time away from it... so that sucked. But none of them are as interesting as Jay McCarroll (his family? awesome!) or Santino Rice anyhow. Chris' hair thing was disgusting, but no more than if it had been goat or monkey hair... his workmanship was amazing, the clothes pretty sexy. Ya knew Rami would get it though, his stuff was much improved, but that coat was fucking horrible... looked like elephant skin on a poodle.
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 11:41 am

his workmanship was amazing, the clothes pretty sexy. Ya knew Rami would get it though, his stuff was much improved, but that coat was fucking horrible... looked like elephant skin on a poodle.

I thought Rami's stuff all looked awful and after awhile, the hair/fur didn't bother me and the first dress/jacket made me think "Grand Hotel". You know me and the Pre-Code vamps. Whatevs, Rami ain't winning this thing. He is quite possibly the most boring contestant in PR history.
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 12:06 pm

Ohhhh, where to start with this episode? I did like Chris' collection better- it was more interesting, whereas Rami's was more safe. But you knew from the second you saw both of their stuff that Rami would get it and Chris would be labeled as too 'costumey' once again. I was annoyed by Jillian's attitude of 'I was born to be famous'- get over yourself. I loved it when her mom talked about how she saw a clairvoyant who told her one of her daughters would be famous and insinuated that Jillian had been groomed for greatness. Give me a break. She came off as very Christian like in that segment- bratty, immature and self aggrandizing.
I love Chris- he brought something to that show that none of the other contestants had (or have)- humor and a sense of fun.

Miss Jillian American Princess is a Shiksa!

I was stunned to see the wreaths and such on her walls...are we SURE???? I mean, the family had the Jewish look for sure...except her awesome dad in his Gimme Cap.

all 4 of them are more exciting than Tattoo Neck from last year
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 4:07 pm

I liked tattoo neck.

I thought Rami's stuff all looked awful

Agreed... didn't say I liked it, just much improved on Greece-o-rama. I'm guessin' Jillian's Mom converted when she married crazy white trash Daddy-o. He was awesome! Still a princess snot, but her collection looks kinda bad-assed.
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 5:15 pm

i for sure that jillian was a jewess as well. she must be greek or something??? way too full of herself. and i wasn't expecting that guy to be her bf?
i like chris's personality soo much better than the rami but ah well. we knew it wouldn't work out.
rami put weird ugly sheer black panythose with his outfits and that was really freaking me out for some reason

I think she is Long Islandese.
Posted: Mar 5, 2008 5:03 pm

I think she is

...on qualudes.

But that FN bitch's coat looked (sorta gothy) BAD ASS!

Whatever -- just like last year I think they (Bravo) wants someone they can sell (or can sell Bravo, that is) -- and that will be Christian. All of them are already celebrities that will be able to do whatever they want (if they're not already) -- so they all win.
Posted: Mar 5, 2008 5:39 pm

Oh yeah, Christian has this thing in the bag. If Rami somehow takes it, I will protest.
Posted: Mar 5, 2008 5:53 pm

agreed, its all christian tonight. but we'll see..
wow...looking at their clothes. whew.

I have to wait on Ryan to get home from work to watch. Grrrrr.
Posted: Mar 5, 2008 9:39 pm

damn.
If there's the prize for "wow factor" then it should DEFINITELY go to Christian.

Wow.
I'll croak if Rami wins.
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 9:22 am

Yeah, his show was pretty perfect; not my thing for the most part and he continues to be almost entirely derivative, but he IS 21 years old. Bravo, Christian!

I didn't think I'd like that weird sweater that Jillian showed, but both of those knit pieces were very Sonia Rykiel, whom I adore, and damned if they didn't end up looking cool.

Rami. Lawsy. The 30's lace dress was stellar, but not anything out of his creative head and the rest? As ryan called it, "MATRONLY". Those colors were straight outta Stein Mart.
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 9:22 am

It was all a giant set up.

They took this super hetero, jock type and decided he was going the be the winner a long time ago, because they were afraid to let a gay man win. I mean, Christian is the kind of guy that used to beat me up in high school.

Disgraceful!
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 10:02 am

JILLIAN,
It was apparent that you were pretty broken up last night. I would be too. Your stuff looked great and I personally would love to see more women on the street wearing clothes like yours. Christian, of course made a supreme collection and is way too talented for his 21 years but if I saw any of that out and about I'd certainly be tittering to myself thinking 'is there a casting for a Holy Grail sequel nearby?" . We both know that Rami is colorblind and should be cast out for his use of colors from the Pontiac Showroom floor circa 1985. Tiel and black? Fuscia and black? Is he secretly hetero and black?
Here's the deal, Jillian. You live in NY, and I live in NY. You're feeling down about losing and everybody on the goner board is calling you a jewess, but hey, maybe we can work something out. Call me.-Matt
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 10:25 am

I shudder thinking of the teal "suit" that rami brought down the runway, does anyone remember it? UGG! As soon as I saw that I said they can't let him win!!

I loved Jillians sweaters!!! KNITWEAR!!!!
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 10:48 am

the teal "suit" that rami brought down the runway
my first reaction was that she would look more 'natural' wearing white wunning shoes
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 11:08 am

Poor Jillian. They should've at least let her think she was top two and cast Rami off the runway first. because his shit was hideous, I cant believe any of them fell for it. I felt bad for her for a minute. Then I was kinda laughing at her, because she needed a smack down. But in the end i did fel bad for her. fuck Rami, i hope I never have to see him again. i wish Chris wouldve showed instead of him. And what, Chris cant use hair, but Christian can use feathers and not get called costumey? Fuck. His shit was killer though. And it was good to see him cry. It assured me he is actually humn.
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 12:07 pm

I think they specifically let her go first so we viewers would be gagging at home thinking there was a chance Rami would win. He didn't even attempt a pattern except with that one draped piece of shit b&w dress.
The Rami thing that keeps popping into my head was that awful moss green sofa fabric he used a couple of times..."Joan of Arc"?
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 2:19 pm

jillians stuff was a little too all over the place but i actually liked the stripe sweater outfit too.
rami is just a really good seamstress. christian is soooo derivative but it all looked like a show. and he is 21, so yay for him! the rami guy already has a thriving business doesn't he?
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 2:24 pm

Rami has an LA showroom and makes red carpet gowns like mad. He has no need to win something like PR. Jillian really needed it and I respected her for quitting her job. All I could think of when they said that Posh Spice had her own line of clothing was "yeah, designed by seven Jillian's in cubicles somewhere."

Christian deserved the win; he went for it and most shows now are all about theatrics anyway...which I find unfortunate because I would like to see more clothing I'd wear walking down the runway. leave it to the magazines to do the editorial stuff and the haute couture shows for the theratrics.
Posted: Mar 6, 2008 2:27 pm

I cried at the end. I couldn't take the suspense.

I did say "Aw Christian" once.

Posh Spice wanted to put Christian in her pocket and turn him loose in her sweat shop...I think I saw her salivating dollar signs. I don't know why cuz I wouldn't wear that stuff, but Christians collection literally gave me goosebumps. The way the feathers jiggled on the models ass on the Big Bird dress was pure AMAZING.

That basket weave bullshit, and bad mini-bus upholstery colors. All those fucking lumps and bumps where they don't belong! My heart was broken when Jay McCarroll picked Rami to win. Crap. Agreed on the antique lace dress...but it had nothing to do with the rest.

Jillian's dresses were fantastically delicious, the sweaters adorable. What did they have against the "womanliness" they kept crediting her clothes with? Ultra-feminine is pleasing to the eye, and her detail and workmanship was on par with the others. She did act like a creep over the model selection and a cunt when she lost...but she's gonna make it after all.

I saw it and it hit the nail on the head for about 1/2 the time of the sketch, but like most SNL sketches, it goes on another minute too long because they are so impressed with themselves.

I hate to rain on the parade, but SNL just sucks most of the time; gimme something really funny! Most of the comedians are so smug and in the Jimmy Fallon vein.

SNL is such a drag. do the skits really have to be 20 minutes long? i thought the project runway skit was cute but not enough "fierce". i don't mind some of the new ones, like amy poehler is rad but SNL is usually a big fat bore...and rarely funny...
do you all know about hula.com where you can watch all sorts of t.v. shows? my friend just showed it to me. good for Bewitched and Partridge Family and all sorts of good ones...
