Golden Triangle

i got them a gig at a crazy loft party over the summer and watched them fucking DESTROY that room. those freaks were going hog ass wild.

while we're on the subject of NY...

1) are there any good websites that post good punk/garage/whatever the fuck shows? I've been checking out ohmyrockness.com, but it kinda sucks.

2) are there any cool places to work that are hiring?

I need music and a job before I run out of money and sanity.

me too!

i'm no longer going out, because i'm too busy plotting and planning my new life ahead, but I can add this:

Golden Error are GREAT. just saw them again last night. Heir Ick is the best front singer right now, in my opinion. he's all fearless in your face--on the floor level. back to back songs, sweat, sick bass lines, badass drummer. And their scene is eclectic, which is cool.

Sightings are once again on the NYC circuit. Mark Morgan!

yea Golden Error is pretty good, I'll have to check these guys out the next time they play in the city
Posted: Sep 10, 2007 11:49 pm
so, you aren't going out but you just saw golden error. mmmmkay... are you saying that was your last show?

i'm barely gonna be doing anything either. same thing... planning my new life.

why weren't you at the slicks/ george show? you need that kinda shit in your life. you know, losers that rock kinda shit.

I saw Killed By Rape last time I was in NYC too and they were a pretty fucking glorious mess.
Posted: Sep 11, 2007 2:01 am
i wasn't at friday's show because I had to get up early Saturday to go to a baby shower in Amherst. Long drive, lovely friends. I couldn't disappoint.

but really, i don't have much drive to party these days and that's all i know outside my door. i can't walk my talk, so i'm staying inside. i see who i need to see, catch up with folks. it's really all quite damn good.

crimson sweet (rip?)

Yup... 'Tis true. Rob's got something going which has a name such as "Saturday Night (something)." He had it going on even before CS splintered. They called it a rap not long after they got home form tour in July.

Goddamn, when I ran into King Khan the other night at Don Pedro he got all sour and angry at me iimmediately cuzza that rad thread I started about his friends The Glow, New York City's real worst band. I hadda yell at him telling him I"ll say whatever the fuck i want about whatever music I want and to fuckin' shove it! Anyway, he said it was cool after Sultan came over and told him to calm the fuck down, and then they played and were the best band to be playing in NYC at that moment. Party!!!
Posted: Oct 31, 2007 8:33 pm
That Fistful of Records guy is kind of creepy, too!
Posted: Oct 31, 2007 8:38 pm
Anyone who likes The Glow is a creep.

I'm looking at you, Jasper!!!
