I just got 2 copies of the split Lamps/HG 7". Why do I need 2? I need them tossed into my coffin upon death. My luck, someone will say "Gosh Gene, those singles going to get warped in that heat," then toss in an MP3 player & steal the singles.

Ran into some soul-brother friends Jack and Julie on St. Marks last night while I was hanging posters for the upcoming Cheater Slicks/ Haunted George show. Them and me and Xtine16 went and ate some really great Japanese food at this place with old ass bullhorns on the walls blasting chinky versions of the Pink Panther theme and shit... $5 pitchers of Sapporo too! Then we went across the street to another bar for a beer and a shot of whiskey and then we all cabbed it to Queens and blasted the fuck out of the live Necessary Evils lp cuz they're both huge n'evils fans but hadn't head the HG chaos yet. Tossed on the first album and they were a-howlin', awwwwwoooooooo-ahhh!! then played "invisible" from the new lp and jack shat and started screaming about how it sounded like it was playing through the rotor from a hellicopter and how does he doooo that??? and all that great shit. we fuckin got drunk and lost our minds and i went to bed at one right after they left and then rolled out of bed at two and puked my fuckin' brains out. true story.

Gary D. Bruce was a songwriter... He wrote Moody River for Pat Boone. It was a #1 hit in 1961.

were your ears burning or anything?

I felt it last night... I did! I haven't been to NY in about a decade. I can't wait. Merv Griffin's "House of Horrors" is just weeks away!

when are you gonna post the Millers Outpost collection?

Oh Yeah, Thanks for reminding me that I have that. That is the pinnacle of tacky late 70's/early 80's bummerness.
I'm sorry.
Is "Bummerness" a word?
I should say "Bummerosity"
or "bummerisification"
