Right at this moment:

(The sky outside right now looks like the simpson's cartoon sunny sky; the wind is blowing the trees around and it's around 73 degrees right now with low humidity)

Really good coffee

Baby I Owe You Something Good by Funkadelic

Stevie Wonder's version of We Can Work It Out

Thinking about the kid at White Castle drive through near Crypt who wanted to party with us (Mike, Sarah, Alex & me) and yelled, "HEE=HAW" as we drove off. Oh, and the impromptu pool party last weekend.

Keeping it cool - literally and figuratively

My roommate leaving town for the weekend for the second week in a row!

flirting with the guy who owns the art supply store when I stopped in on my walk over to the coffee shop

Nina Simone

The Pretenders' first record (the side that starts with PRecious)

spending the majority of today outside and away from my computer

Going to see a new roommate share in Astoria tomorrow.

Oh, and all you nice folks. (that includes you, BJ. I must be in the out crowd, 'cause I have no idea what you mean about alienating everyone.)

Who wants to come over and hang out? :-)

John Fante

at the risk of being called (by a drunk high school girl who reads bukowski) a stupid dick who likes to suck cock, i like fante a lot as well; i've been doing some research on dalton trumbo and his first great novel and it occured to me how many things they share:

same state
same (roughly) dates of life/death
same roughhewn education
same trip to hollywood to seek fortune
same abilities in that they slip easily from screenwriters to fictionalists
same TOUGH TOUGH times (mccarthyism; blindness)
same tough talking wise guy borderline noirsih style that oft also has small pockets of tough guy hawkesian affirmation
same VASTLY underrated careers

It could be ONLY HANDS, and when they hump it could be in a shadow cast on the wall, and you wouldn't know which hand was which, until the end of the movie when Love kills Hate and there is only one hand left.

Right now my main love is my new crazy-roommate-free one bedroom bachelorette pad.

I'm sitting here in my mostly empty living room, listening to Harlan, with all the windows open and a breeze coming through, working at the kitchen table.

Later, I might mosey downstairs to the bar and grab a beer.

Just had a week long annual beer party in the small village I live in. Not really worth going to for out of town folks, music sucked as usual, but I, and everybody else, sure as hell drank a lot. It took 16 people from 8am til 5pm to clean our local bar today and when we finished we had a couple of beers. Now that I'm finally home again I LOVE getting a couple o' whiskies, finish my coke and enjoy some real good music! Yeah, it's definetely good to top off the party with some whisky, coke, the recent Flip Side Kid and the Whiskey Flower LP's! Cheers!!

Some pics of one of the events I (amongst others) organized this weekend.
There were 8 different nationalities participating in this mud race, including a guy from Sacramento.
