i'm sure this had been talked bout already, but i had limewire for a while and hated it. it basically took over my pc. would open when i didn't want it to. then i'd shut it down, then it would open again. fuck that.
is soulseek better?

the only good thing about my limewire experience was the porn.

Soulseek is 1000x better than Limewire. It doesn't do any of that bullshit. Dunno how good it is for porn, I use bittorrent when that need arises.

Only con is it seems to be nearly impossible to cancel downloading a file. Even if you try to abort or cancel. You can delete it, and it will disappear from your screen, but it has a nifty option that whenever you open the program back up, it starts downloading the same files you tried to cancel. It's good because you can close it, and the files you didn't get to finish, will start downloading again if the user is on, but it will also try to keep downloading the files you canceled as well.

I had that problem just once. It had something to do with your and the user's "upload settings".

Be careful, with soulseek, I clicked on a song and opted to download the containing folder. The folder didn't just contain the album. It contained about 600 songs that I had to go through and cancel, one by one.

go to the far edge and you can highlight and drag to select as many songs as you need to, then just hit delete.
