Posted: May 5, 2007 5:23 am

chunklet mag. just put out a four way split 7" limited to 200 copies with deerhunter, carbonas, selmanaires & the coathangers. they're only selling them in person at a local record store. there's a 7" release show but you have to go buy the 7" (which includes a ticket) in order to go to the show...
i just got mine tonight. its fucking great.

Pffft. It's not like the Braves were the 1991 World Series Champions or anything...

I grew up there- it's not that cool! You can't fool me! What record store- Criminal? Wuxtry? I left for the shangri-la of the west coast long ago- but I still have stooges there to do my bidding. And I miss the fried chicken in the ATL so much it's almost physically painful.

I will be there in seven weeks. Leaving the shangri-la of the west coast to go there.

i've lived here almost 20 years and have yet to find really great fried chicken.
some decent fried chicken, like at son's place or mary mac's, but nothing on the level of gus's in memphis.

pitchfork reports on single:

http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/42803-new-deerhunter-single -available-at-one-atlanta-store

its sold out now though. i think there might be a second pressing coming which doesn't completely make sense as the venue does have a capacity.

nevermind. its not a 2nd pressing. they just ran out of sleeves. still limited to 200 copies.

from where?

Well- consider yourself fortunate cause we don't even have the likes of Chik-fil-a or Mrs Winners out west. And no one here knows how to make hot wings (or a biscuit, for that matter). I miss 3 Dollar on Roswell Rd muy muy mucho. It has been 10 years since I lived there- but I remember Agnes & Muriels having some damn fine fried chicken. And pork chops, too.

I just flew in from Atlanta and boy am I tired. No seriously. My flight was at 7, I'm exhausted.

I miss it already though. Transplant Atlanta into my living room, please.

There's a Chik-Fil-A in Cerritos. 'Bout 20 mins south of L.A.

Also Dinah's on San Fernando Road has some pretty good Fried Chicken.

You're the one who assumed it was a joke, BJ. I made it very clear that I was serious. Even used the word "seriously".
