Then I pull out my gun & kill myself onstage, cause I'm in lots of pain...really.

Then your missing the point because that songs a pick me up....like take a tip from J.L. Hooker, "The blues is a pickmeup"....I'm not going to voice my requests but that's a good one. She's a Hole is another.

FYI: I don't miss many points...and I don't take tips.

My lame suicide remark/joke was in reference to the planned on-stage suicide at the HELL ON EARTH concert in Florida a couple of weeks ago.

Sue me.

Even though I always thought it was a gimmick, in GG's defense, he WAS in jail on Oct 31st, 1990, which ruined his "plan".

I realy want to hear some of the gospel tunes...Like you gotta live the life, and also I'll never change, and nigger rich, and also that one where they say, "I know the devil must be working on me"...I hope they play thier whole song repertoir, however many songs they play it won't be enough....man any covers would be icing on the cake.

NO Do The Milshake...The Chocolate Milkshake!

Attention all ye ladies,
And all you little girls too,
I got a brand new dance,
I'll tell you what to do,
You put your arms in the air,
Shake your fingers to the beat,
Move your shoulders left and right,
And then you shake, you shake, you shake...the chocolate milkshake.

I know I got those last two lines confused...I just hope there's alot of black women doing the chocolate milkshake!

1) YOU FUCKED ME UP, YOU PUT ME DOWN
2) FEEL REAL GOOD
3) BLEW MY COOL
4) MAD LOVER

If they would just play FEEL REAL GOOD and YOU F'ed ME UP, YOU PUT ME DOWN I would be the happiest, 8 hour-roadie-to-see-the-Oblivians, motherfucker in the house.

Doctor Sardonicus

I can't believe you all just have song requests....The Oblivians played D.C. like 3 months after I moved, and somebody told me that when Jack was on drums he accidentaly broke a tom, and then wore it on his head! I hope he does something like that again, so I won't feel so deprived anymore....I think I'm gonna weep like I did when I saw Field of Dreams.

So you're not makin it to Gonerfest Joe? Sux. I was just thinking about that Halloween show...Seen Cheater Slicks over a half dozen times now and I've never seen them on fire like that night. Then I got to thinking how truth is stranger than fiction, and most of us addled music geeks instigate weirdness mostly out of boredom, but sometimes everybody walks through some sort of vortex or rift in the time space continuum and things are truly twilight zone or repo man.

Then I got to thinking how the cool underground 90's culture was probably due to the fact that the 1st gen punks were in their thirties and forties, which was why that community was so self informed. With all of these different strong willed personal pathos....which you know, eventually got so bloated and over blown they verged on meaninglessness just like punk became. I think true cynicism is when you stop doing things for your own satisfaction or eccentric ego, and start trying to play along with the mainstream scheme of things.

Do you know what that Oblivians song, "Everybody But Me" is about? My guess is that it's about a girl playing hard to get and pretty much inside your brain fucking shit up....but also about reaching for some bullshit imaginary ideal about "real life", but mostly about some girl fucking with your head. Meanwhile fucking everybody but you, because she likes driving you crazy.

Anybody have the set list from Burger Boogaloo in Oakland? I had had a memory-destroying amount of beer by that time.

man, i dunno yet. money is ultra tight. can't stop thinking about gino and the goons playing though, so i might be willing to totally fuck my own ass for that.

Just realized I have three different aliases going on in this thread...Spirit fans were rare back in those days, now they're not uncommon.

"Drill" might be my favorite song of all time...I always wind up requesting it...I love songs about peeping toms.
