It's sunny and 65 here, which I guess is better than being 80 degrees like last Sunday -- uugh.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:25 pm
i'm not allowed to talk about the weather.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:26 pm
it's fucking freezing here, bitter cold wind.
It's 60 degrees here in Los Angeles.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:30 pm

Hadda, you kook!
But the best one ever!
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:39 pm
Warm, rainy...stupid.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:39 pm
It's been raining all month. Yes, raining. In northern Wisconsin. In December. And it's poured all day today. Probably woulda been a foot of snow if all you assholes weren't pumping dinosaur sludge fumes into the air insteada riding a bike. Gotta be more urth conscious, people!
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:42 pm
No! Lots of rain today, but now it's sunny again.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:43 pm
It's been in the 30's at night here all week. I actually had a little ice on my windshield when I left for work. This is supposed to be California!
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:46 pm
We got some snow last night. About 4". Most of it's already melted. I think it's supposed to snow some more tonight...
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:54 pm
Austin usually has unusual weather, but......

Raining in WI?
30 in Cali?

if all you assholes weren't pumping dinosaur sludge fumes into the air

You got that right, bub.

I've never even seen a white Christmas - some ice one or twice, but no snow.

Chev? Where you be?
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:55 pm
Haven't had a white Christmas here in a while, at least I can't remember one. When I was growing up it seemed like something that happened every year. The rain's supposed to turn to sleet & snow later, but only and inch & then back into the 40s tomorrow. Weird!
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 8:58 pm

Yeah, we might have white for X this year... just maybe but I could give a shit less.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:05 pm
I'm up in Minneapolis. Last night was the first snowfall this year that didn't all melt right away. Normally at this time, there should be huge fucking snowbanks everywhere, but there hasn't been that much snow this year. The last five winters have been really mild as well. I think any Wi./Chi. Goners would tell you the same thing...

Raining here in southeastern Michigan.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:10 pm
It's strange but it hasn't snowed here for about a week.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:10 pm
Actually it is snowing very lightly right now...
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:13 pm
I was woken up by a THUNDERSTORM today. Fuck that shit. I work all through the holiday, have to miss all Christmas parties, seeing family from outta state, etc...at least gimme some accumulation!
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:24 pm
here's a white xmas for you

Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:29 pm
hi 8th grade kid!

I thought you left us all for good! Glad to see you're still alive!

Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:29 pm
:-( yeah, looks like that's the best most of us will get this year -- or ever.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:47 pm
i'm not allowed to talk about the weather.

Only in the Memphis section...
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 9:56 pm
ok then, since i can talk about snow here,
sherry - that snow-covered xmas tree was photographed in LATE MARCH!

in cleveland. talk about your screwed up global warming. i'm not ragging on clevo, but it seems like the winter there lasts an extra month.
Posted: Dec 22, 2006 10:01 pm
It's warming back up here in Portland. It's mid-40s or something and dry today. Tomorrow's forecast is the same, but with rain.

Last time in was in San Francisco, I actually saw it snow down by the wharf.

I'm heading to the mountains of British Columbia for some of the white stuff. Memphis has been pretty mild for late Fall, but today was almost seasonal.

I don't know if it's a natural climactic warming cycle or caused solely by emissions, but I'm all for finding a reasonable way for folks outside of major population centers to produce fewer fumes.

but are you a renaissance geek? do you walk around quoting chaucer for no reason? do you refer to your self as a saucy wench? does your boyfriend practice sword play in a park and challenge strangers to duels?

Posted: Dec 24, 2006 8:15 pm

Posted: Dec 24, 2006 8:34 pm
do you walk around quoting chaucer for no reason?

every time i play D&D w/ jack stands....

In th'olde dayes of the Kyng Arthour,
Of which that Britons speken greet honour,
All was this land fulfild of fayerye.
The elf-queene, with hir joly compaignye,
Daunced ful ofte in many a grene mede.
This was the olde opinion, as I rede;
I speke of manye hundred yeres ago.
But now kan no man se none elves mo,
For now the grete charitee and prayeres
Of lymytours and othere hooly freres,
That serchen every lond and every streem,
As thikke as motes in the sonne-beem,
Blessynge halles, chambres, kichenes, boures,
Citees, burghes, castels, hye toures,
Thropes, bernes, shipnes, dayeryes,
This maketh that ther been no fayeryes.

and uh, as far as GEEKS go.... WHO KNEW THE FONT enough to call it out? YER A FONT GEEK!!!!

Posted: Dec 25, 2006 2:40 am
It was sun shine and mid-50s today in New York. It's dropped to the upper 40s now that it's after dark.

Posted: Dec 25, 2006 6:56 am
It's like 45 degrees outside here. At least Santa doesn't have to run the heater on HI for tonight's deliveries though.
Posted: Dec 25, 2006 7:10 am
56 degrees, clear, no wind, 67% humidity
in los angeles, we consider this cold
Posted: Dec 25, 2006 7:58 am
It rained from 3pm yesterday -- not stop -- until this evening around 4-6pm.
It rained --non stop-- during my entire party, but was still great.
And now it's cold -- and 40-ish, I guess.

But I still have copious amounts of booze and various beers (the oddest being something called Satan Red Belgian Ale - I'll have that tomorrow) left and having some Old Forester right now that I bought on a suggestion. It's nice.

snow pac is 200% above average, wanna get lost and freeze to death? go snow shoeing in the mountains east of here. all you in the midwest get ready for another blast of winter, a huge low pressure system is a few hundred miles or a couple of days off the west coast.
