Figured everyone here would want to know. For those not on the email list:

The November It-News for the It-kids:

1. Ok, tons of stuff to report, so keep it all straight:

Minneapolis, dates below. The band has recorded a radio show for Sound Opinions, airing
as follows:

Additionally, Pere Ubu will be taping a WFMU radio broadcast on November 22nd and
appears in-store at Borders in Cleveland Heights prior to the Beachland Ballroom gig on
November 24th.

THOR has just returned from a series of live dates in Ontario and Winnipeg, and has filmed
scenes from a new movie, details to follow. the band plays The Nerve Magazine Festival of
Guns in Vancouver on November 18th.

We received a ton of email inquiring regarding the 2nd Unknown Instructors release. We
had hoped to release the CD in October of this year, but decided to do some upgrading
and tweaking with the art and now plan a March, 2007 release. Trust me, it will be worth
the wait.

We just received a shipment from Tokyo cult label 1977 Records with the new
retrospective from The Kids. 1977 Records went all out on this one as the package
includes a lyric insert, poster insert, and 2 little neat photo cards. Compiling 32 songs
from the fist 2 records plus some live stuff and some hard to find stuff, do not wait on this
one! We also just inked a deal with NAT Records from Tokyo, and we will soon be stocking
their releases, including the Hubble Bubble CDs and The Gobblinz reissues!

Last, but not least, it is Smog Veil holiday season time. Here is the deal: buy a CD, get a
free CD; buy an LP, get a free LP, buy a 7-inch, get a free 7-inch; buy a shirt, get a free
shirt! I will personally pick the freebies, but go ahead and email your choices. Offer goes
to orders placed through January 2nd, 2007, or whil supplies last. Offer does not include
freebies for downloads, sorry. Rock on, rock warriors!

2. JUST ADDED to the iTunes Music Store: The Xtraverts and The God Squad.

I have never heard them, but Amps II Eleven has to be one of the gayest fucking names ever.

God, Cheetah Chrome's site looks like it was designed by John Morton.

Amps II Eleven is a pretty gay name, and their LP is alright (Super-lame cover art), but they kick ass live. Tony Erba from Nine Shocks Terror on bass. Think they broke up recently though?

Sure does. I kinda doubt web designers are copping his "style". Gotta give John credit - he's never backed down from his "aesthetic".

Is it worth paying $15 to see Pere Ubu at a bar that sells cheap domestic beer at $4 (as of 2002) a pint? Seriously, what do you people think?...

Pere Ubu were really good when I saw 'em 3 years ago or so.

When I saw Pere Ubu about 4 1/2 years ago they sucked.. Me and my friends kept yelling Rocket from The Tombs songs... D. Thomas told us to "Shut the fuck up!!"
