I predict album of the year.

I'm expecting great things. The Marked Men are one of my favorite bands right now.
Posted: May 1, 2006 8:04 pm
I'm listening to "A Little Time" right now, and I really dont get you people. It's the same music that you guys make fun of all the time. Why the hypocrisy?
Posted: May 1, 2006 8:23 pm
I love the Marked Men. Do they have Myspace haircuts on the new album or something?
Posted: May 1, 2006 8:28 pm
I've never listened to a haircut before. That song is putrid.
Posted: May 1, 2006 8:29 pm

Ditto, I'll take generic pop/idie rock I might have listened to in highschool for 100 alex.
Posted: May 1, 2006 8:41 pm
You guys make good points. I still love the Marked Men.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:13 pm
They still bring it live. I like what I've heard so far of the Swami record. I can see where someone could yank a pop/indie reference out of one of those songs, but that's out of context.

Bajoey - have you heard their Ripoff & Dirtnap rekkids? Honestly, how could you NOT like those??? They're fucking great!
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:23 pm
"someday" is a great song, period.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:23 pm
"a little time" isn't.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:26 pm

I heard the Rip Off one. It's gay.

Great, great live band. Still one of the best in the world. Records are not as interesting to me personally as the first couple or the Reds. The fact that it's been a slow & gradual change from the Reds' nasty punk to the Marked Men poppity pop means I've gotten used to it in the meantime.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:34 pm
This reminds me of when the Black Lips first started making out with eachother on stage, and then after everybody got the joke they kept doing it.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:39 pm
Isn't that ironic ?
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:40 pm
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:42 pm
Perhaps, but I've heard quite a few of your records and they are awesome as fuck, but they aren't gay at all. Something in your logic is flawed.

I hate this shit. Couldn't get any more gayriffic than "a little time".
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:47 pm
My logic, I assure you, is heterosexual.

My Awesome is borrowed/stolen.

My taste is very very gay.

I don't even know what any of this means!
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:49 pm
I know that I love me some Marked Men though!

Did I hear you correctly, Alex?

Oh yeah, well I just heard the Riverboat Gamblers for the first time on myspace (found through the Marked Men page).

That's all.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:53 pm
Riverboat Gamblers are the definition of the word gayriffic.
Posted: May 1, 2006 9:54 pm
The Riverboat Gamblers play Warped Tour this year!

Make sure to check it out Joe! I didn't realized you liked anything good. The tickets are only 60 dollars.
Posted: May 1, 2006 10:13 pm
I love the Gamblers too!

Flame on bithes!

Somehow I seem to have missed all the hooplah about the Marked Men. I have made pretty good money on the Reds 7" records however.

I will investigate. Are there any Marked Men 7" records with limited edition status? I would like to invest in some.
Posted: May 2, 2006 5:36 pm
Jesus, these songs are amazing.

PS: Fat Guy, the first MM 7" is pretty hard to find, and their Shit Sandwich 7" has limited to 75 yellow vinyl.

Posted: May 2, 2006 5:47 pm
theyre playing an all day bbq party thing in kzoo this summer. oughta be fun!!
Posted: May 2, 2006 6:18 pm
Joe, I like music that sounds as wimpy as this, too. I am not a hypocrite. I just like hot jams no matter who plays them.

Get that guy with the sailor hat from Norway and some Turbojugend members like Dtrain in the crowd and I'll pop the biggest blackest boner you ever saw.
