Not a psychedelic film, but the movie that affected me most, in an optical bending, hallucinatory way was Michael Snow's "Le Region Centrale" (Central Region). It is a THREE hour movie with constant motion of a landscape in Canada's Central Region no people, just landscape, sky, etc...Snow built an apparatus to mechanically move the camera on a grid pattern in a fluid motion...I made it through two hours before I left and I was absolutely buzzing for at least a half hour...couldn't focus too well on stuff!

info on the film:

Snow's Wavelength also has this affect, to lesser degree...I recommend Wavelength, which is only 45 minutes!, to anyone into film...

i too need another copy of HOUSE...

i got one, but i didn't dub the audio. at one point i attempted my own "soundtrack" but failed miserably.

i'd buy it on dvd if i could find the fucker...

just got HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING... pretty good!

www.5minutestolive.com has copies of House. thats where i got mine. doesnt have subtitles, but i think its one of those movies thats better without em. warning though, ive had bad experiences with alot of their dvds. they either arrive fucked up (which they are happy to replace) or get fucked up after a couple of plays. i'd only buy something from them if i was really desperate to see it.

also www.vsom.com has Death Powder. if you like Tetsuo you should see this one too. even weirder and more nightmarish.

Blueberry was a psychedelic western based on a Moebius strip. It also really sucked.

thanks arturo!

i'll buy you a drink if you will be in chicago...just remind me.

thanks. i haven't seen a subtitled version, but yeah, it doesn't need 'em.

plus they have gimme gimme octopus, which rules and is VERY psychedelic. their description is pretty good, but doesn't mention ghosts:

"An octopus and a peanut are in love with the same walrus."

Didn't Scratch Acid name their album "Just keep eating" after a movie of the same name? I don't remeber the details of the movie but I think it was some kinda pychedelic exploitation flick. Anyone seen or heard of this movie?

It's called 'Renegade.' I think it's pretty good. A bit slow and the plot is barely there, but I liked it a lot. The cinematography is fucking great, too.

And you're wrong about the trip scenes. They're some of the best I've ever seen on celluloid. Have you ever smoked DMT or taken ayahausca? That's pretty damn close to what it's like. I also know someone who worked on the script and he had some great stories, like a bunch of people drinking yage, etc. so maybe that effects my judgement. Definitely worth seeing if you get a chance though.
