CTs are one of my favorite bands ever, live and on record. And on live record. God forbid I ever go through some bullshit life-affirming ritual like get married or have a kid or convert to Judiasm, I'm going to pay them thousands of dollars to fly here and play the event. That, or do nothing.

Re 10/3: You could check with the Blank Club in San Jose. Not sure how you'd do on a Monday, though - this is not a hip town.

"bullshit life affirming ritual" ... Yeah, right, like when Buck Wilders, the Monsieur, Ron Franklyn, Jack O, and Greg O played/spun rekkids at our wedding reception at the Bucc back in April ... Mrlastname, I wish you could've seen the "bullshit life affirming" grin all over my face!

Brits aren't afraid of the South, BTW ...

That wasn't a diss, BTW, so much as a reminder of the best nite of my life thus far ...

The Rebel was/were great last night. I hadn't heard 'em before, but I suppose you could describe it as a stripped down raw country teasers. All the trademark Ben Wallers humour is there. An intimate gathering last night for sure, but appreciative none the less. Best part of the set was the last 3 songs, which they are due to play at an upcoming wedding - nice and morbid.

i think vegas thunder played with country teasers (and compulsive gamblers) at the south end. at the time i thought country teasers were boring as fuck, but i think i was hellbent on t.w. samuels at the time.
