I'd like to make the NYC show but don't know if I can... it's the week after the girlfriend and I get back from 2 weeks in the Southwest. I really should fly back East to visit my parents in NJ, and I've used Oblivians reunion shows as an excuse to fly back home before...

really hoping they tack on a nightime SF date between Oakland & Portland. as much as i'd love to see 'em, $50 for a daytime show in the park is kinda outside my budget...
Posted: May 22, 2013 5:48 pm
is Burger Boogaloo a Burger Records thing? $50?! i guess i am out of touch.

They're playing sf the following monday at the independent - for the low, low price of $25 a ticket! That better be a 2-hour set - I'm steamcleanining my sweatband as we speak...

Baltimore August 15th!!!

Actually, no. Just bought a ticket. You might be thinking of the early-bird discounted tickets...but the discount was only ten bucks anyway.

$25 per ticket is now considered "reasonable" here in SF.

When you're making $150K hawking "apps" and feasting on $12 cocktails, it would be.

The $12 cocktail crowd isn't going to see the Oblivians.

Saw some additional Oblivians dates randomly around the internet. Any word on when more shows will be "officially" announced?

don't kid yrself. they're waiting in 2 hour lines to get into gay dive bars to "rock out" with Thee Oh Sees.
Posted: Jun 19, 2013 9:55 pm
A) because that's who listens to thee oh sees now
B) Ty Segall played, too
C) that show was only $15

If those people DO show up for the Oblivians, I will admit I'm wrong and buy you an appletini.

PS, I DO hope they show up, I hope the show sells out and I hope the Oblivians sell a ton of merch because they totally deserve it. But I also DO love pointless debates...

I will admit I'm wrong

thankx ChiX, but unfortunately i won't be able to see the Obliv's.
Have plans to be OOT. I'm BUMMED.

so, really pointless. also, appletinis are not quite $12 territory. the expensive drinks come with shit like dandelion extract.

Hey 'Blivs, just saw your band page tour update on FB. The Baltimore show was not listed. Is it still happening? The event page is still up, but there is no link to buy tickets.
Posted: Jul 9, 2013 8:14 am
And is there anything beyond those Sept shows? Need some flyover country lovin'.
Posted: Jul 9, 2013 9:42 am
i bought tickets via the venue site even though that event page didn't provide a link, but hopefully you dudes can update your itinerary... kinda had me nervous and shit.

I've been having nightmares about missing this show. I just saw that you guys are playing in the KEXP studios at 1:00pm. Hopefully you didn't have a problem crossing the B.C. border. If you guys are around town on Sat. here in Seattle. SUB*POP is having their 25 Ann. in Georgetown. Mudhoney, TAD, Tom Price, Jack Endino, J. Mascis Mudhoney played on top of the Needle yesterday. I'm not sure why, they would have had a bigger audience at the Key Arena. There is also a music gathereing in West Seattle and the Mono-Men are playing 8:30pm tonight. The sun comes out and all Hell breaks loose. See you tonight!!
