Funny...when I saw em I thought "queer bait," but I was a little cranky

Gentleman Jesse outdoors a few gfs back was still one of the best shows I actually remember.

Union Express Inn & Suites - formerly Red Roof Inn, Formerly Motel 6 - the one with the pool off of Union & 240 - has apparently closed as well.

Posted: Aug 10, 2011 3:35 pm
What's close and clean?

Nothing. Gen X Inn maybe. (no, seriously, there is a "Gen X Inn")

Will there be a kiddie pool with a drunk redneck and eels this year?
Posted: Aug 24, 2011 9:27 pm
Looks like all us babes with be staying at the Motel 6. It was fine lat year ..although I did miss those Artisan pool parties! Yeah it's weird all the Memphis hotels are closing and what not. Can't wait to see some great music, doing some people's hair, smash disgusting amounts of ribs, and hangout with my friends from everywhere. Bring it. I maintain that I fucking <3 Memphis.
Posted: Aug 26, 2011 2:12 pm
motel 6 was fine last year, we had prostitutes in the room to the left and bikers in the room to the right-- just about everyone else had goldenpass armbands on.

their wifi is pay for, but you can spoof someone's mac address to get it for free. its better just to leave the computers at home though.
Posted: Aug 28, 2011 4:36 pm
there is also a holiday inn express on union that still has SMOKING (!) rooms circa 2003.

what's the problem because we are selling them in bunches daily.
Is it a card issue or a server issue?
This is Jonathan at the Hi-Tone so if you're having problems still just post here and we'll get it straightened out.
Posted: Sep 1, 2011 3:10 pm

Posted: Sep 2, 2011 9:12 am
Outlined against a blue-grey October sky of musical indifference, the Wearers of the Imperial Plaid, the Bearers of the Royal Blood, the Lickers of the Lleather, struck their first buzzing chords and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse rode again!

Saturday, the 23rd day of September in the year of our Lord 2011

At the Buccaneer Lounge in Memphis, Tennessee

Show starts after Human Eye plays at the Hi-Tone (approx. 2:00 AM).
The bar will be open as late as it needs to be!

Who is staying at Motel 6? Is this place reputable????
Posted: Sep 14, 2011 11:45 pm
i'll be at motel 6, first time i've stayed anywhere other than the artisian (in it's many incarnations) in memphis.
Posted: Sep 15, 2011 12:45 pm
i posted my motel 6 review earlier in this thread, its looking to be the best/closest place other than pilgrim house.
Posted: Sep 15, 2011 1:16 pm
Motel 6 was OK last year, I had no complaints about my room, and will be staying there again this year.

Eric - are you giving the heads up to the cab companies again? Worked like a charm last year, barely had to wait 5 minutes for a taxi to turn up.
Posted: Sep 15, 2011 2:59 pm
I wish the motel 6 had a pool. Artisan, I miss you.
Posted: Sep 16, 2011 3:52 am
It is a little bit of a bummer that the Motel 6 has no pool. Stayed there last year though it was fine. We will be staying there this year again too. Is there a pool ANYWHERE ELSE though? :)

Can't wait to get to Memphis.

Everyone say hi to me if you see me ...I have a huge Mario Bros. tattoo on my entire forearm.
Posted: Sep 19, 2011 2:50 pm
annalee - I'm at Motel 6, too, and I'll def say hi if I see you. I'll be the one with no tatoo.
