Remebered Max from Beerland mentioning at Gonerfest that he was doing a fest in Austin in December. Just had a look at the Beerland website and this must be it. What's the deal? Max? Sherry?

Also...these FUCKING DICKHEAD ASSTARD RAVERS have been throwing RAVES on OUR GODDAMNED bridge and apparently last weekend (before last) there were so many people there and out of control that helicopters were called in. DOn't know the actual facts and can't find anything on it -- cause I don't know any 'ravers'.

So.....there you have it -- those fucking dicks RUINED it for the rest of us! Hardcore and punk bands have been playing there for at least 3 years with only ONE bust (during SXSW) that I am aware of and they just asked us to leave.

I heard there were spraypaint cans in it and someone was shooting it with a BB gun. He had to go to the hospital.

Only one cop showed up to the Bridge last night. She caught us trying to load Chinks shit onto the bridge and acted like they weren't sure where the noise complaints were coming from. (bullshit...)

She seemed satisfied when we said it was over. Too bad it really was.

"NOBUNNY LOVES YOU"

Damn, that was fast! Any other footage from the show out there and up soon?
And how were the Spits? Reds? Die Rotzz? Hex Dispensers? Hell, just about everybody?

I'd also like to mention that upon re-reading this lineup that Austin has some pretty great and hilarious band names going on right now.
Posted: Dec 9, 2007 4:10 pm

Die Rotzz?

seeing as andy was at my house yesterday, I don't think they made it to Austin.

Die Rotzz?

What is Die Rotzz's record on away games?
seems like they cancel more than half the road shows they book.....

There will be more footage up soon, just not from me. Spits were totally pro, played flawlessly. The Reds kicked a lot of ass too, even with the injury. Cheap Time, Wax Museums and the Hibachi Stranglers killed it like usual. I left the next day though, so I didnt get to see Hex Dispensers and a lotta other bands.

My top 5

1.Cheap Time - I am sooo excited for thier LP
2.Wax Museums - PUNKs
3.Total Abuse - The suprise for me. Not too into HC , but these guys made me feel it. The singer looked so sad and angry I wanted to cry.
4.Hibachi Stranglers - Not a one trick pony. Great tunes.
5.Spits- duh

Also loved... Bad Times, even without JR... KLOMB, dude oozes charisma... The Barbaras, Hex Dispensers, Snake Apt., Tunnel of Love.

Oh, and finally seeing one of those there bridge shows. That spot rules.

Bad Times, even without JR... -- YEAH!!
Cheap Time & Spits @ Skate Park of Austin (.com)!! FUN!!
The Barbaras -- YES!! FUN!!
Nobunny totally killed it! -- really great at Sound on Sound with Joe Simpson, Trent (Boots Electric) and Rob Yazzie (all those punks, jus punkin-around)

And SUNDAY. Beginning with the Teeners on (they woke eveyone up from their stupor).

3.Total Abuse - The suprise for me. Not too into HC , but these guys made me feel it.
Haaaaa!! That's what I've been saying! They are HC but they are SO not at the same time -- I think their 15yr old looking sweet baby faces & non-tough looks certainly help.

It was GREAT getting to hang out with you Justin!! xoxox!!
And Jason(?) too? What a handful.

that was the first skate park i'd ever been to....it was so cool! i guess i wasn't expecting such a huge place. i coulda stood there and watched those guys in the big bowl all day long. i was thinking it was gonna sound shitty, but it was actually pretty great....even from up at the top.

Oh, and finally seeing one of those there bridge shows. That spot rules.

i agree!! i've been hearing about shows there for a long time....it was awesome to finally go to one!

3.Total Abuse - The suprise for me. Not too into HC , but these guys made me feel it.
Haaaaa!! That's what I've been saying! They are HC but they are SO not at the same time -- I think their 15yr old looking sweet baby faces & non-tough looks certainly help

ive always missed this band. heard the recordings and thought it was way lame generic thrash. seeing them has confirmed that it sucks shit live too. Not catchy at all and fucking weak. want HC listen to Deathreat or the other 5 good hc bands in the world right now. they might be "nice" fellows but fuck that shit made me want to slam my dick in a door rather then hear the 134,000th gay-tart band that takes the shittiest moments of negative approach and the first four yrs dischord band and starts a band.

Sherry

I had some friends take me there that lived near by. I got the catfish, crab cakes , hush puppies, and mac and cheese. I liked it all , even though I was a little offput by the mac and cheese at first (spaghetti?)

thanks for the mouthwash on the bridge, and Max should get a fucking medal or something for doing the whole deal.
