Goner Message Board / Upcoming Shows For Goners Everywhere / Be Your Own Pet/Black Lips/CoCoComa - Friday in Chicago
Posted: Sep 18, 2006 8:47 pm

At the "historic" Logan Square Auditorium

Show starts at 8:30 ??? maybe?? possibly 9...regardless please come early so we don't have to play in front of 5000 sq. feet of emptyness.

On the upside it's all ages so maybe buying an 17 year old a beer can score an HJ!

I think it's $12 and I have no idea if it will sell out...the only other big all ages show in town seems to be Mars Volta which may draw some people away maybe??? i have no idea what the kids are listening to these days.

This has been revised to thirsty 19 year olds who gained the freshman 15 and now have low self-esteem.

I wouldn't doubt for a moment if it sold out, or got extremely close. Logan Square is gi-nourmous, but that Be Your Own Pet band is a definite hype/fad band. If you pick up any magazine off the rack at Barnes'n'Noble, you're likely to see a picture or mention of them. That kid with the crustache and afro in that band makes me want to send anthrax to his parents.

Cococoma and Black Lips rule though ! Yaay. Gonna be there.

Posted: Sep 23, 2006 4:16 pm

Kevin overheard a 15 year old say that Bill drums like Meg White...which she apparently meant as a compliment. Ah, to have a frame of reference solely based on SPIN Magazine!

Black Lips were grrr-eat!...though an auditorium ain't a prime venue.
