A benevolent goner sold her thurs/fri/sat tickets to me (but I'm not going, they're a gift for my lover) after Friday and Saturday had sold out and were going for big bucks on eBay, for face value + $5 for UPS shipping! Good rock and roll karma, if you ask me, but I swear I'm not a hippie. Thanks lady!

Am I crazier then people spending loads of money on Ebay because I'm flying in Saturday because of finals from LA just to see Oblivians and Persuaders??

Is there any shows going on Sunday or Monday??? And last question is anyone from Southern California even going this year? Last year I know there was like a 10 person contingent, and I'm the only one making it this year it appears.
Posted: Apr 28, 2006 3:02 pm

elle or anyone in the memphis area i have extra tickets for: 2 tickets Wed., 2 tickets Thur, 3 tix Fri, and possibly 1 for Sat. I really want to go but it doesn't look like its going to happen for me. I don't want to deal with the mail. I would rather sell tickets to goners in memphis or who will be in memphis in the very near future. Make me an offer. Maybe i'll see you guys in Chicago. I don't have any travel plans. So if i do decide to go i could use help in any department. email me at judsonlamance (AT) hotmail.

boooo!! i thought the blackout started at 9?? this sucks ass. everyone is going to be at the mutiny or the ice factory while the chicago bands are playing at the bottle. someone needs to push these times around.
Posted: May 6, 2006 7:03 pm

it is physically impossible for everyone who will be at the bottle to be at the mutiny or ice factory. that said i'll probably miss the last two bands at the mutiny. assuming i'm out of bed before 6 p.m. this year.
Posted: May 6, 2006 7:23 pm

Talk to Darius,
I can't move times.
Posted: May 7, 2006 5:49 pm

No prob Sherry, thanks for posting the daytime line up. You're right about Tyrades and Busy Signals, WTF. They should do a house show or something. I'll do my best to try to egg them on.

You met up with my friend Lollie, at my urging, when her and Bloodshot came through your town, remember? I'm gonna be driving up with The Frantic and the Carbonas, let's have a beer at their show.

Kevin, my compuer can't handle sending messages very well. My flight arrives at 1pm so I guess I'll get to yours by 3pm at the latest if there's no delays. I get off at Western, right? And then walk in the opposite direction to McDonalds, right? But you've moved now, right? Where are you now? Does the new place have doors?

Message for Arman or whoever's on the door wednesday night - I paid with someone else's credit card, and the ticket company said I have to have the actual card with me. Can I not have to have the card with me but tell you their details instead? I can tell you the name on the card. I can bring their card but they'll be 4000 miles away and may need it for the two weeks I'm there. Yeah anyway, let me know.

An Announcement Ladies & Gents:

Unfortunately The Jenny Jeans have to cancel on Wed. 24th of the Blackout. Personal and logistical reasons. It's really a shame...great band....no one to blame. It's just gotta be that way. I'll let Scrogers, Twink, Talbot, Tyler explain.

BUT!!!!!

I have THE GOODNIGHT LOVIN' from Milhonky, Wi. fillin' in. They have a great new LP cummin' out on Dust Medical Records very soon. Produced by none other than Greg Cartwright. Another great band in the vain of The Bryds, Deadly Snakes, Reigning Sound...etc. You'll likey.
-Sorry about any inconveniences.

Hope things are ALL ok.

Bottle workers or Billiams! I'm sure this was addressed in pages past, but I sold a Dead Moon ticket and I'm not sure how to handle getting him the ticket as I'm on the will-call list.

Is there a proper way to handle that or is it just "meet up before show and tell the front door that new person is taking ticket"?

Thank you for your help,
Steph
Posted: May 17, 2006 4:28 pm

Steph, I'm pretty sure "will call" means a list at the door. If you bought, say, two tickets in your name, it'll essentially show up as "Steph +1." So I'd imagine the buyer will have to accompany you into the show. I hope the buyer isn't some creep.
Posted: May 17, 2006 4:44 pm

I know it's a list at the door. I just thought maybe there was a way to change the names on the list (if it wasn't too much of a hassle, but most likely is).

well, you're probably right, JJ.

sweet! thank you!

Matt and other Bottlers,
I called to get the name switched and was told that I need to contact the Empty Bottle to "see what their rules are" as far as will-call goes because a photo ID, credit card, etc is required. So! Do you think that it would just be sufficient if I forwarded on my confirmation e-mail to dude who's buying ticket and then he present that at the door w/my name? Seeing as how in years past, you guys asking for actual credit card never happened at the door?
thanks again and sorry about all of this!
Steph
Posted: May 17, 2006 8:15 pm

NO,
Tell them all we need is the ID.
Customers do this all the time.

Has Bottle gone no smoking yet? It's been a while since I've been there.
Posted: May 17, 2006 8:46 pm

alright, ticketweb is not able to change names on the will apparently. After explaing all the bottle needs is a photo id. they wouldn't do it. I even asked if they'd just add a name and they wouldn't go for it.

so, for those in the same situation that I'm in, they suggested that I send a copy of the credit card used and black out the all numbers except for last four and a copy of my driver's license, etc. to person now taking my place along with a note/e-mail saying I am unable to attend (this is per Oscar at Ticketweb).

I'm just going to e-mail guy taking ticket and tell them to try and if a no-go then they can call me and I"ll come to the door or whatever to verify they are taking my ticket, I guess.
Posted: May 17, 2006 8:54 pm

that makes me mad if you said they are able to switch names. I even told them that I talked to them earlier and contacted the bottle and everything like they told me to. whatever.
Posted: May 17, 2006 11:32 pm

Steph and others,
Just found out that Illinois scalping laws won't let Ticketweb do do this. Ya could have ,but they stop this 2 weeks prior to show. Sorry...my bad. The only way to do this type of thing is just to meet at the door.

Unfortunately my friends and myself can't go the HOZAC Blackout. I have also will-call tickets (each 2 tickets for Wednesday and Thursday and 3 tickets for Friday and Saturday). Any idea, how other people can show up with these tickets, I can't be at the door.

But is smoking still allowed in Bottle??? Does anyone know?
Posted: May 18, 2006 11:04 pm

all kinds of smoking is allowed!
Posted: May 18, 2006 11:37 pm

So, If I show up at the will call with the credit card used in hand, email verification printout and my ID will I be OK since the ticket was bought with a card with a different first name? the last name is the same just not the first.
I hope so after flying out there and spending 100 bucks for me and my lady to go.

my name's Mike, i'm coming from FLA for these shows... was coming with a friend, now solo, so prove you are nice and we'll make a fair deal.
