Goner Message Board / Memphis / question about an old restaurant in Memphis
Posted: Sep 11, 2016 2:45 am

Hello everyone! I was searching for restaurants that had gone out of business in Memphis and found this site.I just got back from a trip to the coast. My husband and I ate at Lambert's in Foley.I keep telling him that there used to be one here every time that we go to eat at one.

I remember back in the 80's that there was a restaurant off of Winchester. They threw the rolls like they do at Lambert's.They also had tomatoes and macaroni and fried potatoes also.

I don't remember the restaurant being open for more than a year or two.I want to say that it was on Ridgeway. It was on the opposite side from where Rafferty's was.

Thank you for the help.

Yes, there was a restaurant like that on Ridgeway just north of Winchester. I used to live in the Village Grove Apartments right there. I was looking on Google Streetview to figure out the exact location but there's been a lot of development since then. It was on the side of Ridgeway where Winridge Elementary is located. I don't recall the name, but I do think it was Lambert's.
